Can’t Win Me Back by Ginger Sue

Chapter 597
Alyssa
left the hospital without so much as a word to Jasper. Though he’d left her with an incomplete puzzle, she wasn’t going to grovel
for the entire thing.
She’d rather figure it out herself than ask. It was high time she stepped back into her spotlight after what
she’d endured for three years.
On the way back to the villa, Sean called her.
“Ms. Alyssa, we were unable to find any information on Jasper directly, but we did find some interesting things pertaining to
Justin Beckett.”
“Being Beckett Group’s CEO, it only makes sense that anything personally related to him is entirely off the records. You’re

Sean savored the praise and continued, “Justin Beckett was a victim of a kidnap when he was 11 years.

“If it weren’t for the police’s records, we’d never have found out about this. If you’d really more about it, miss, you can always ask
my father.

behalf for the time being.
Thankfully, Alyssa had some leads now.
She had just reached home when she noticed a man standing outside the gate.
Alyssa narrowed her eyes to see who it was. Her heart dropped upon realizing it was Jasper.
Jasper gazed at her through her windshield, a fond smile on his face.
Alyssa pursed her lips, a bitter wave rising in her chest.
She had to admit Jasper looked extremely fine when he smiled, just like how she used to dream of him.
She had foolishly stayed by his side for three years, giving him things she thought he might appreciate, learning how to cook, all
just so he would smile at her for once.
All of it was futile, however.
Yet, here he was now, smiling at her, even admitting he had feelings for her.
But could her injured, pained heart really be healed by this love that had come too late?
Alyssa took a deep breath, exited the car, and walked up to him.
“Lyse...”
