Can’t Win Me Back by Ginger Sue

Chapter 736

Alyssa's eyes widened. Every nerve in her body tensed. Her red lips quivered. She wasn't slow to react, but it had happened too fast.

A purebred, powerful horse charging at full speed was equivalent to a top-tier sports car!

"Mr. Schmidt!" Todd yelled, desperately trying to reach Jameson for protection, but it was too late.

The uncontrollable black horse charged into the stable, panting heavily, its eyes crimson. It headed straight for Alyssa like a raging madness.
Alyssa's breath caught. She wanted to run, but in the overwhelming panic, her legs felt like they were nailed down.

"Lyse!"

Alyssa's pupils contracted, and her vision darkened.
Jameson threw himself at her, sweeping her into his arms and flipping them both to the other side just as the horse went berserk.

With a loud thud, they landed together. Dust rose.
Jameson's back hit the ground first, and Alyssa, protected in his arms, suffered only minor scrapes.

Even so, during the fall, she felt a violent shock to her internal organs. It was as if everything inside her was shaken up. One could only imagine the pain Jameson must have endured at the moment of impact.

"Jimmy! Are you okay?!" Alyssa's eyes reddened in panic.

Jameson's face turned pale.

"I... Be careful!" Ignoring the pain, he tightened his grip on Alyssa and rolled to the side with all his strength.

The black horse let out a loud neigh and suddenly changed direction. It raised its front hooves abruptly.

Jameson felt a sharp pain in his back. His suit was almost soaked through with his sweat.

"Jimmy!" Alyssa's chest felt constricted. She felt as if an invisible hand was squeezing her tightly, making it hard to breathe. At that moment, Todd and two horse trainers arrived.

They successfully subdued the frantic horse by giving it a powerful tranquilizer. Under the influence of the tranquilizer, the horse's emotions gradually calmed, and its crimson eyes regained clarity.

"Mr. Schmidt! Mr. Schmidt!" Todd ran over. He was terrified out of his wits as he saw Jameson lying unconscious on the ground.

"How do you people manage these animals?" Todd pointed at the two horse trainers and berated them furiously. "If anything happens to Mr. Schmidt, neither of you will escape!"

The two trainers trembled with fear. "Put that aside, saving him comes first!" Alyssa's forehead beaded with sweat as she gently placed Jameson on the ground.

She directed Todd to call an ambulance right away as she carefully checked his body and looked for signs of injury.

"Where does it hurt? How do you feel? While you're still conscious, tell me now!" Alyssa spoke to him with the authoritative demeanor of a doctor.

Seeing the concern on Alyssa's face, Jameson's lips curled with a hint of indulgence and pleasure.

"Lyse, You're worrying about me ... I don't feel any pain at all."
