If given the choice, Emmanuel would prefer these aunts to continue staying with the Quillen family. He didn’t mind if they looked
down on him or mocked him. It was still better than them completely severing ties with the Quillen family because of his
existence.
“The one who will inherit her shares is a young, wealthy heir. I’m concerned that he might have some connection with Magnus
and is joining the Terence Group as a spy. That’s why I arranged for him to take over the Commerce Department.”
Once Mackenzie laid out her plan, Emmanuel understood what she wanted him to do!
“You want me to keep an eye on him, Mackenzie?”
“That’s correct!”
Mackenzie was satisfied with his quick understanding. “Although the Commerce Department is important, it is not the core
department of the company. Even if he wants to cause us trouble, he won’t be able to harm the foundation of Terence Group.
However, we need to eliminate him as soon as possible if he truly is a spy!”
“I understand!” Emmanuel nodded seriously.
The next morning, Emmanuel officially joined Terence Group and entered the Commerce Department. When he arrived, he soon
discovered that there were only five people in this department!
Apart from the executive and deputy executive, there was only one investment specialist and two clerks!
Since the Terence Group had a good reputation, they rarely needed to seek investments. Therefore, the creation and
continuation of this department was just a formality.
What was even more frustrating was that, aside from the newly appointed executive and deputy executive, the other three were
all women. So, Emmanuel had to do all the heavy lifting on his first day at work. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that he had

Emmanuel was tidying up his desk as the end of office hours approached when he suddenly heard someone whistling behind
him.
He instinctively turned around and saw none other than the new executive of the Commerce Department, Derrick Finch!
He was a typical middle-aged man in his 30s. He was rather overweight with rolls of fat around his waist. The greedy and dodgy
glint in his eyes only made him seem sleazier. It was clear from his appearance that he often indulged in alcohol and lacked
exercise.
“Sir, do you need something from me?”
“Hey, do you have any plans/tonight?” Derrick spoke in a familiar tone.
“If you’re here about personal matters, I’m afraid I’m not free!”

Emmanuel’s attitude was clear. Although Mackenzie wanted him to keep an eye on Derrick, he didn’t want to have too much
contact with the man outside of work.
“Well, you can consider it as official business then!” said Derrick as he approached Emmanuel with a mischievous look in his
eyes.
“What official business?”
Emmanuel furrowed his brows slightly. He was getting the feeling that Derrick wasn’t a straightforward man.
Sure enough, Derrick arched his eyebrows and said, “I’m new to Yeringham, and I don’t know where to go for entertainment at
night. Why don’t you give me a tour?”
After that, he made a rather explicit yet specific gesture with his hands. It was clear he wanted to find some women to have fun
with tonight!
“Darn, he truly is a pervert!”

Although a person like that was far from morally clean, they were actually easier to deal with than those who were deceitful and
cunning.
Emmanuel waved his hand and said dismissively, “Mr. Finch, I’m afraid you’ve got the wrong person!”
He wasn’t a man who would engage in such activities!
“Haha, there are only two of us left in the office! Why bother with the charade? Are you going to tell me you’re not interested?
So? What do you say?”
Derrick laughed loudly as he bumped shoulders with Emmanuel.
His expression became even more lascivious!
Emmanuel was rendered utterly speechless. As he stared at this guy’s expression, it was evident that Derrick genuinely thought
that Emmanuel was only pretending!
“Besides, we’re going for a business meeting, right? This is official business. So, don’t bother trying to back out. Don’t worry. I’ll
take care of all the expenses!” declared Derrick as he patted his chest proudly.
Emmanuel stared at him in exasperation. Unfortunately, it seemed that he truly couldn’t escape this farce of a business meeting.
So, he could only say begrudgingly, “Mr. Finch, I need to inform my wife about this. I’ll only go if she gives me the green light!”
“Haha, you’re already tied down by love? Oh, fine. Tell her you’re going on a business trip. If that woman dares to say anything,
just divorce her!” Derrick said brazenly.
Emmanuel’s mouth twitched slightly at his outrageous suggestion. It was clear that this guy didn’t know that his wife was
Mackenzie...
“Then, I’ll make that phone call.”
After that, Emmanuel walked to a secluded corner and dialed Mackenzie’s number.
“If that’s the case, I’ll have Wally send me home tonight.”
Mackenzie’s response was straightforward. After all, she knew her husband was still a virgin. If he wanted to visit that kind of
establishment, he could go. She wasn’t worried that he would cheat on her.

“Uh, okay. Then, I’ll accompany him and find out his true intentions!”
