Chapter 417
“Yeah, this is just... too domineering, isn’t it?”
Surprisingly, many people thought Mackenzie’s previous appearance was
very cool!
However, Noah Lofis was infuriated as he scrambled to his feet, swearing all
sorts of foul curses. Then, he shouted, “Quickly find out who that woman is for
me! She’s simply courting death! She’d better pray I never get my hands on
her, or I’ll definitely kill her!”
He had two followers at the scene as well, who immediately approached and
said, “Mr. Lofis, I’ve noted down the license plate number. We’ll definitely find
out who she is for you. Give us some time!”
Milani coldly snorted upon hearing their conversation as her eyes were filled
with vengeful anticipation.
The situation just happened too suddenly, and she didn’t get a clear look at
that woman. She only thought that Noah had great influence, and as long as
they found that woman, they would surely be able to deal with that harpy!

On the other hand, Mackenzie didn’t take what just happened seriously at all.
Was obstructing traffic openly considered reasonable these days?
She was driving while having a conversation via Bluetooth and giving orders,
“Lexi, I’ve run all the red lights I could from Yeringham to Onza in my Maserati.
Help me pay the fines in advance!”
On the other end, Lexi was momentarily rendered speechless by Mackenzie’s
sudden wild side.
After she came to her senses, she immediately said, “Yes, Ms. Mackenzie, but
may I ask, do you have to be this domineering? What exactly are you
planning to do that requires you to rush like this? I’ve never seen you so
restless even when negotiating a 150 million deal!”
“I’ve found Emmanuel. That b*stard is in Onza!”
She didn’t have time to explain in detail to Lexi and hung up after that
sentence.
Soon, the Maserati stopped at a civilian apartment on the outskirts of Onza.
“Beatrix, is Emmanuel here?” Mackenzie got out of the car and immediately
hurriedly asked her sister, who was standing outside the apartment.
“Wow, did you fly over?” Beatrix was stunned. It hadn’t even been two hours
since she sent a message to inform Mackenzie, and Mackenzie had already
made a cross–city transfer??)
“Don’t waste time. Tell me what’s going on!”
“Erm... I found Emmanuel, but it seems like he isn’t here right now!”
Beatrix sighed helplessly.
She only came to Onza to try her luck after she failed to find him in
Yeringham. As she had a friend working in city institutions, she asked for a
favor. That friend swiftly conducted a keyword search and actually found a
few records.
After she ruled out the incorrect ones, she finally arrived at this hotel and had
That dummy was truly clueless. What was the use of coming to a place like
this to feel sad and alone? Couldn’t he have the courage to embrace her?
It’s not like he hasn’t done this before! Is he still a man? Why does he keep
regressing the longer he lives?
“How long did this guy rent the room for? When did he leave?” Mackenzie
asked the hotel owner.
“Um, he rented it for almost half a month and checked out this morning!”
Jude answered truthfully.
“This morning?”
Mackenzie furrowed her brow in thought. How coincidental was that? Did he
just happen to leave, or did he realize that she was searching for him
everywhere and decided to change his location to evade her clutches?
Men were really troublesome creatures!
In the Quillen residence, Terence received the distress message from
Mackenzie and was equally thrilled. He immediately shouted, “Alfred! Quickly!
Mobilize some people and bring that brat Emmanuel back for me!”
He was even more anxious than Mackenzie!
His granddaughter could afford to wait, but given his age and physical
condition, he didn’t have any time left to spare!
If they didn’t find Emmanuel soon, Terence might not live long enough to see
the birth of the Quillen family’s great–grandchild. Then, who would inherit the
vast Quillen family estate and wealth?
In the hotel, Jude was about to tease Mackenzie after seeing that she was
lingering for so long. He was almost fifty years old himself, and his daughter
was almost the same age as Mackenzie, but he had never seen such a
graceful and elegant beauty before!
The only downside was that this beauty was too arrogant, and her way of
speaking was too juvenile. Searching the whole city for someone? Had she
read too many novels about domineering CEOS?
Those were the actions of a CEO, so what was she trying to prove as a
woman?
Alas, there was suddenly a commotion outside the apartment door before
he could bring that little tidbit to attention.
Mackenzie completely ignored the approaching Jude and walked past him
toward the door.
-Hé also hurriedly walked out, and as soon as he saw what was happening,
his eyes almost popped out of his head!
“What... what’s going on?”
He could feel himself shaking. Dozens of cars suddenly appeared in front of
his hotel bringing along hundreds of people!
Oh, my goodness, this is too terrifying!
Luckily, Jude had just heard Mackenzie mention searching the whole city, or
he might have mistaken them for troublemakers coming for him. If that
happened, he would probably wet his pants on the spot!
Just as I thought, this woman is so domineering. It turns out she’s truly a
domineering CEO?!
Jude sighed inwardly and felt his cheeks heating up. Fortunately, he hadn’t
uttered those teasing words, or how could he possibly give himself an out
now?
“Ms. Mackenzie, please give your orders!”
“Ms. Mackenzie, please give your orders!”
The hundreds of people were divided into two groups, but they all obeyed
Mackenzie’s command to search for Emmanuel.
5/5
“Search the entire city and notify me immediately when you find Emmanuel!”
Mackenzie issued her orders from her position, looking just like a commander.
“Yes, Ma’am!”
It was that dummy’s hair!
Mackenzie had mysophobia. She used to often find Emmanuel’s hair at
home. At first, she would throw them into the trash bin with utter disgust, but
later on, she became used to it.
Now, she even picked it up and held it tightly in her hand like a precious
treasure. In the next moment, her beautiful eyes turned slightly red–rimmed.
“If I had known you would be hurt so deeply and if I had known it would lead
to Claudette’s death, I wouldn’t have played games and divorced you back
then!”
“If you hadn’t left my side, none of the things that followed would have
happened.”
“A house without you feels so lonely when I’m living alone!”
Mackenzie’s murmuring voice was barely audible, but Beatrix could still
vaguely hear some of the contents, and Mackenzie’s expression was quite
fascinating!
She had known that Mackenzie liked Emmanuel, but she hadn’t expected that
Mackenzie had actually fallen in love with him!
Oh, can you believe it? This scene is so incredible! If I go back and tell my
7
aunts and cousins, they will never believe it! Hehe.
“Emmanuel, you dummy. Where are you?”
Mackenzie sighed softly and carefully put Emmanuel’s hair into her pocket.
Days passed and it brought nothing but disappointment. Even with over a
hundred people conducting a blanket search in the Onza, and with Lexi and
Beatrix mobilizing the information networks of the Quillen family and the
Summerton family, there was still no trace of Emmanuel.
The next morning, Mackenzie couldn’t hold back her impatience anymore
and decided to go out and search on her own.
She didn’t even know where to start looking for that dummy. Moreover, she
was well aware that if Emmanuel was determined to avoid her, it would be
difficult for her to find him, even with her abundant wealth.
Regardless, she was always the one that never accepted defeat. Besides,
she would make sure to be on the winning side even in a game of
hide–and–seek!
This time, she had to win against that dummy!
Mackenzie didn’t even realize where she had ended up as she mindlessly
wandered around. Suddenly, she raised her gaze and found herself in front of
a large hotel.
Although the hotel was beautiful, the Quillen family owned far more luxurious
hotels than this one, so it didn’t catch her attention at all.
She stopped outside the entrance because she saw the sign of the hotel’s
restaurant, which featured a delicious lemon butter garlic salmon dish.
She remembered that Emmanuel loved to make this dish. He would also
often go on and on that eating lemon would stimulate the appetite and that
eating fish was not only good for one’s health but also good for the brain.
At that time, Mackenzie had teased him while saying, “Well, you really need to
