Chapter 1000
Keegan's eyelid twitched, and he repeated what she said. "You have men's clothes at your place?"
Stella replied, "I did a photoshoot for a local clothing brand previously. They had a design that looked really good, so I took two
sets of it for you. The fabric is very soft, but it's not something very expensive. Just forget it if you're not interested.’
Keegan paused. "Why are you speaking as if you've bought me any expensive clothes before?"
Stella was speechless.
Then, she gritted her teeth and said, "What makes you say that? The socks that I bought you cost a few hundred dollars for a
pair, and the ones I'm wearing are just a few dollars!"
’Except for socks," Keegan said.
‘What about boxers? They cost several hundred, and some are even more than a thousand!"
Keegan was speechless.
’Except for boxers."
Stella opened her mouth and argued back, 'I didn't buy you expensive clothes not because I'm not willing to spend that money on
you, but because they're just not worth the price. You know that when you buy from a luxury brand, you're paying a premium for
its brand. A shirt that is sold for a few thousand dollars only costs a few hundred to make. I just can't find a reason to spend that
much on something that you wear casually every day. * She began to think that her point made a lot of sense, and she spoke
even more confidently, ’I'd compare prices from different stores whenever I buy something. It's a very tiring thing to do, okay? I'm
just trying to save money for you, yet you're mocking me for it."
Keegan's eyelid twitched. "You compared prices from different stores, and you got me a pair of swimming trucks which the color
came off?"
Stella kept quiet.
Aldor could not help but burst into laughter.
Everybody knew that Keegan did not know how to swim. However, some of his business partners would choose to talk business
in a club to play some golf or swim while they were at it.
Obviously, Keegan had to accompany them throughout those activities, but he would normally not get into the water.
However, he met a client who happened to be an excellent swimmer. After finding out that Keegan could not swim, he insisted on
teaching him. He even said that Keegan would get himself a deal once he learned how to swim.
Keegan had not gotten a stable position in the company yet, so he needed big contracts like this to boost his reputation. So, he
agreed with the client even though he was afraid of the water. Then, he called Stella and told her to bring a pair of swimming
trunks over.
Stella knew that he was going to learn to swim and enthusiastically went to pick a pair of swimming trunks for him.
However, Stella's taste in swimming trunks was rather peculiar. They either had superheroes printed on them, had a farting
pattern printed on the back, or had an elephant's trunk or banana printed at the front.
None of them could be worn in public.
The problem was that Keegan had a meeting with the client, and he was waiting for her to send him the swimming trunks. She
sounded very confident and said that Keegan would love the swimming trunks she bought when she was speaking to him on the
phone.
What happened next was obvious. Keegan's face turned pale when he saw those various designs of swimming trunks.
However, the client was waiting for him, and he had no time to buy a new one. So, he reluctantly picked a plain black and red
design and wore it. It looked like the most normal one out of the others; before he got into the water, at least.
When they were almost done negotiating the terms, the client told him to get into the water and that he was going to teach him
some breathing techniques.
So, Keegan prepared himself mentally and got into the pool.
Everything was going fine at first, but the look on his client's face began to look strange after teaching him for a while.
In the end, the client could not hold himself back anymore and asked, "Mr. Kane, do you want to see a proctologist? Your
hemorrhoids seem pretty serious. Even the water is turning red."
Keegan was stunned. He looked down and saw a faint red color seeping out from between his thighs. The scene looked just as
shocking, as his backside was bleeding from hemorrhoids.
Keegan's face looked extremely dark.
Even though Aldor tried his best to explain that the red color came from the discolored swimming trunks, the client still gave him
a peculiar look despite already acknowledging the situation.
Keegan was very bothered by that embarrassing incident, and he still could not let it go even though two years had passed.
At the same time, Aldor still had a hard time containing his laughter whenever he thought about it.
Stella's way of saving money was simply impeccable.
Stella naturally remembered what happened after Keegan brought it up, and she spoke in an awkward manner. "That pair was a
gift from the store owner. All the other ones I bought were just fine, yet you just had to pick the free gift."
Keegan lifted his brows. "So, it's my fault, huh?"
Stella gritted her teeth. "Forget it if you don't want to get changed! Bye!
Keegan grabbed her wrist and chuckled softly, "You offered to give them to me. How could you go back on your words?
