Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted by Eleven Jewell

Chapter 1021
Felicity ran to the elevator. After making sure that nobody was there, she carried the cardboard box into the house.
As soon as she went back inside, she saw Vermont limping out of the bathroom.
Felicity immediately put the box down and asked, "How are you feeling? Does it still hurt?"
Vermont held onto the handle of a chair and said with a pale face, "Not so good."
The look on Felicity's face was more unpleasant than Vermont's. She knew that she had caused huge trouble. Without
hesitation, she helped Vermont to put on his clothes and rushed him to the hospital.
Felicity's face was very tense during the entire journey.
Vermont's backside was hurt, and he could not sit. So, he had to lie flat in the backseat and rested his head on Felicity's thighs.
From the angle he was looking Felicity at, she looked extremely worried. Her chubby chin was tightly clenched, and Vermont
could tell that she was feeling very uneasy.
Vermont could not help but reach out to poke the dimple on her cheek as he chuckled and said softly, "Why are you so nervous?
Are you afraid that you really have to marry me if I'm injured?"
"Stop talking. You're only making me feel worse." Felicity was in no mood to joke around as she was genuinely worried that
Vermont was hurt.
It seemed like Vermont was in real pain. After saying those words, he shut his eyes and stopped speaking.
The car arrived at the hospital very soon later. Felicity registered at the emergency department and brought Vermont to a doctor.
The doctor was in disbelief when he heard that Vermont was burned during cupping therapy. However, he quickly asked Vermont
to take his shorts off to get checked anyway.
Vermont paused. Then, he turned around and said to Felicity, "Why don't you wait outside."
Felicity was still very worried as she said, "Call me if you need anything." Then, she left the emergency room.
The doctor said after the door was shut. "Lie down. Let me take a look."

Instead of lying down, Vermont grabbed a chair and sat opposite the doctor.
The doctor was confused. 'Didn't he get burned? Is the burn so severe, that he lost his senses?'
Vermont looked at the doctor and said flatly, "Doctor Walford, prescribe some burn medicine for me."
The doctor had no idea what was going on, but he asked out of his professional ethics anyway, "I need to examine the injury first
to determine what medication to prescribe."
"I was not burned. Just give me any medicine. I'll pay for the medical fees and all I need is you to keep this secret for me."
The doctor was taken aback. "Erm..."
Vermont grabbed a pen and ticked "extremely satisfied" on every section in the feedback form on the table. Then, he looked up
and said, "Whether I can get a girlfriend or not is up to you now."
The doctor kept quiet. The pressure he felt was greater than treating any patient.
Felicity walked back and forth in the hallway as she thought to herself. 'It can't be that serious, right? But what if it's very serious?
'Putting the money aside, I can never do anything to compensate him if something bad really happened to him because of that

At that moment, Felicity even had the urge to ask for her mother's help. Suddenly, the door of the emergency room behind her
was opened.
However, to her surprise, it wasn't Vermont who emerged, but rather the doctor.
Felicity immediately approached him and asked anxiously, "Doctor, how is he? Is it serious?"
