Chapter 1079
Felicity was not afraid of many things, but she was afraid of the dead, especially those who died by drowning. When she was
younger, she attended a relative's funeral with her mother. Her relative was fishing by the river when he had a heart attack and
fell into the water. It took the salvage team four to five days to recover the body.
Felicity was young at the time and could not help being curious. At the funeral, she saw her relative being put into the casket. His
body was entirely swollen. She had nightmares for one year straight after that. Her dreams always consisted of her dead relative
asking her to enter the waters and play with him.
When she heard that her downstairs neighbor had drowned in the bathtub, she was afraid to go home alone. Vermont saw the
odd look on her face and asked, "What's wrong?" She returned to her senses and immediately said, "It's still early. Why don't we
play some video games?"
Vermont gauged her expression and realized that something was wrong. He pursed his lips and said, "Did you forget? They're
updating the servers. It'll only be available at 7 a.m. tomorrow.”
Felicity stayed quiet. Seeing that she did not respond, Vermont asked," Why don't we watch a movie? My friend introduced me to
this new show. Do you want to watch it with me?"
Felicity took advantage of the situation and immediately said, "Okay."
So the two of them turned off the lights, turned on the TV, and put on the movie. It was a European film. When the title played,
Felicity hugged a pillow, asking, "What kind of movie is it?"
Vermont handed her a blanket and said, "It's a romance film."
"Oh," Felicity responded as she put the blanket on her lap.
The plot was rather cheesy. The male lead was a leader of a gang who fell in love with the female lead-an ordinary girl. Both of
them were extremely good-looking and had great chemistry. Though the film was somewhat of a cliche, it was still bearable.
As the show progressed, Felicity noticed the bizarre plot. When she saw the female lead being handcuffed in bed, she finally
realized that it was a different type of romance film. She wanted to ask Vermont to change the movie, but she saw how much he
was enjoying it, so she kept her mouth shut, not wanting to make a fuss.
The scene was very ambiguous, and the male and female protagonists were not fully exposed, but the sexual tension between
them was through the roof; it was sexy.
Felicity tried to stop herself from looking. After three minutes, the scene changed. That was when she realized what she had
watched earlier was just the beginning.
First, the main characters of the movie were in the bathroom. Then, they were on a cruise. The story had become irrelevant as
all Felicity saw was the male lead humping. She could no longer stand the plot, so she sneaked to the bathroom.
Vermont saw her leave and smiled in satisfaction.
Felicity stayed in the bathroom for 30 to 40 minutes and came out when the movie was over. The TV was off, and Vermont sat
on the couch, scrolling through his phone. Seeing that Felicity was out of the bathroom, he asked, "What took you so long?"
Felicity's ears were red as she pretended to be calm and said, "My period came, and my tummy hurt."
Vermont raised an eyebrow and said, "Oh. I thought it was because you were too shy to watch the rest of the movie.”
Felicity immediately denied the accusation. "What's there to be shy about? What they were doing wasn't even exciting enough."
"Really?" Vermont looked at her and asked. "I have a few more films like that in my stash. Why don't we put one on to fulfill you?"
Felicity was at a loss for words. "Maybe some other time. I'm getting sleepy," she said. She was about to grab her phone when
she tripped on the rug and fell in Vermont's direction
