Chapter 1216
"I promise," said Stella.
Keegan finally let go of the topic of Stella's ex-boyfriend and focused on counting the points he had accumulated.
Curious, Stella leaned over as Keegan opened the calculator app on his phone. "How many points do you have as of right now?"
she asked.
Keegan turned his phone away and refused to show her. "I'm not gonna tell you that. You're too calculative, Stella. You might
take off some points if you know my total."
'Psh. I could still take off some points without knowing your current total,' Stella thought. Suddenly, her phone rang while Keegan
was busy with his score. Stella saw that it was Trevor and gestured to Keegan to stay quiet as she answered the call.
"Hey, Stella. Do you have time for lunch today?" Trevor asked.
Stella glanced at Keegan, who gave her an encouraging look. "Is the family coming?" she asked in a low voice.
Trevor paused and said, "I won’t invite them if you're not ready."
Stella fell silent. She thought about the elderly couple who had come all the way from Royalburgh just to see her and realized
that Wenham was not getting any younger. "Bring everyone out for lunch and send me the location," she said after some time.
Trevor was a little surprised to hear her say that. He then smiled and said, "Alright. I'll pick you up in a bit."
"No, that's fine. People are spreading rumors that you're my sugar daddy. It'll be hard to explain ourselves if the media catches
us in a car together."
"In some way, I am. You're the heiress of the Saun family. It's only fitting that I take special care of you.’ Trevor coldly snorted.
Stella laughed for quite a while before saying, "Should I quit acting then and just inherit the family business then?"
"You can do anything you want as long as you're happy," Trevor chuckled.
His words sent a wave of warmth to Stella's heart. "I think I'll stick to acting. I really want to excel in this industry."
"And I'll support you no matter what. I'll provide you with every resource I can find. Just say the word, and I'll make it happen.
You're the best, Stella. I know you'll achieve anything you want," said Trevor.
Stella did not know how to respond. 'Now I know why Keegan always teased Trevor for being obsessed with me,' she thought.
After hanging up the phone, Stella got out of bed and washed up. Keegan had asked Aldor to send over several sets of elegant-
styled clothing for her to choose from. She looked extremely graceful when she tried them on. Since it was her first formal
meeting with the Saun family, Stella took it very seriously and spent almost an hour doing her makeup.
Keegan understood her nerves and did not rush her. Instead, he texted Trevor, saying: [Give her a few more minutes.
She's a little nervous.]
Surprisingly, Trevor did not scold him this time: [Take your time, and drive safely.] He replied.
[Sure thing, my dear brother-in-law.]
Trevor did not respond.
Keegan drove Stella to lunch after she finished getting ready. She was unusually quiet along the way.
"Mr. and Mrs. Saun Sr. are kind people. And you've already met Uncle Wenham. Don't worry, Stella. Just be yourself. I'm sure
they'll love you," said Keegan.
Feeling anxious, Stella clenched the hem of her clothes and asked, "Aren't you going to accompany me to meet the Sauns?"
"I'll meet the family when I want their approval for your hand in marriage."
Previously, Keegan thought that Trevor had fallen for Stella and insisted on tagging along whenever she met up with him. Now
that he knew she was part of the Saun family, he realized it was inappropriate for him to show up uninvited.
Soon, Stella arrived at the designated location. Keegan handed her a mask and reached out to fix her bangs. "Don't worry. You'll
be alright. Call me if anything happens. I'll be waiting for you outside."
Stella scratched his hand lightly in response and put on a hat before stepping out of the car.
