Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted by Eleven Jewell

Chapter 1436
'Why am I being compared to Aurora?'
Jaylene was about to say something, but Cordelia interrupted, "Jaylene, you should attend to other guests. Don't worry about us.
Many people are here tonight; don't neglect them.”
Jaylene had no choice but to purse her lips and comply, "All right. I'll leave now, then. Grandma, just have someone call for me if
you need anything."
Cordelia nodded and smiled amiably, "Sure, go ahead."
As Jaylene walked away, Cordelia looked at the pastries on the table and said, "I can't deny that Jaylene is really thoughtful."
Those pastries and snacks were all her favorites. Cordelia figured that Jaylene must have purposely asked out to know about
her preferences.
Cordelia had lived for many years and had met countless people. She knew Jaylene had other intentions when she invited her to
sit at the front.
Both the Saun and Hall families took the tables in front, as well as friends and relatives from Darcie's side. If Keegan and Stella
were not divorced, she would have sat there without a second thought. However, they were currently not publicly together. If she
were to go to the front with Jaylene, it could easily lead others to speculate about Keegan's relationship with her.
Cordelia liked youngsters with sharp minds but not those who used them to manipulate others.
Jaylene had always been obsessed with Keegan since she was a child. Whenever she visited the Kane residence with Trevor
back then, her gaze never left Keegan.
Cordelia thought it was just puppy love. But to her surprise, those feelings had not faded even after so many years.
Cordelia never really cared about who Keegan married, including their family background. She only cared if that person was the
one that he genuinely wanted to be with.
So, the reason why she treated Jaylene so coldly was not because she was not biologically related to the Saun family.
Cordelia thought for a moment, glanced at Keegan, and said, "You're pretty popular among the ladies."

Keegan remained silent. 'It certainly did not sound like a compliment.'
He thought about what Stella had said about him and decided to go all out on himself, "Well, I consider myself a very charming
man."
Cordelia was speechless.
She opened her mouth as if wanting to say something. But she gave up that thought after considering that Keegan was still her
grandson.
"Jaylene is interested in you. You should keep a distance
from her. She's still the daughter of the Saun family. Regardless of your intentions, the Saun family would be unhappy if rumors
spread."
"I know."
Cordelia wanted to warn his grandson that Jaylene was a scheming person and had put in significant effort to gain her favor, so
she might not give up so easily. However, she figured it might not be appropriate for her to comment about Jaylene as her elder.
So, she decided to keep her thoughts to herself.
'I should just let the youngsters handle their own affairs. Keegan is smart; he doesn't need me to tell him what to do.1
"How shameless!"
Felicity glared in Jaylene's direction and angrily said, "She'd do anything for a man! She actually went to suck up to Mrs. Kane
Sr.!"
Vermont sighed. "You've been keeping an eye on Jaylene since we came here. You're making people think that she's after your
man instead."
Felicity gave him a side-eye. "She's trying to steal Stella's man. Of course, I have to keep an eye on her. If she ever tries to steal
mine..."
Vermont got interested and leaned closer to Felicity. "What are you going to do about it?" he asked.
"I'll just give him to her. I'm going to have plenty of other options anyway."

Vermont's mouth twitched. "What? You're not going to do anything about it?"
"What's the point of fighting for a man who can be easily taken away from me?"
Vermont gritted his teeth. "Does Keegan not love Stella enough? Jaylene can never take him away from Stella, so why are you
so worried?"
