Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted by Eleven Jewell

Chapter 1632
Trevor felt that being transparent at times like these was better than hiding the truth. Even if they managed to keep the reason
behind Keegan's absence a secret, Stella would likely harbor resentment for being kept in the dark once she found out.
Trevor closed his eyes and gently held Stella's shoulder," Stella, try to stay calm and listen to me. Keegan... hasn't been found
yet.”
Stella immediately stopped trying to break free. She turned her head to look at Trevor, her expression a mix of confusion and
disbelief, "What do you mean he hasn't been found?"
Trevor's voice grew hoarser, "The search and rescue team has combed through the river twice, and there has been no sign of
Keegan. Th-they say he might have been swept to a different part of the waters. The search area has been expanded, but it's
been three days now..." It was improbable that Keegan was still alive, but Trevor did not voice that out.
The color drained even further from Stella's already pale face.
Trevor thought she might break down in tears. However, she did not. Instead, she asked softly, "Has the perpetrator been
found?"
Trevor hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "They found him the next day," he paused. "But he was already dead."
In other words, Keegan's chances of survival were slim, having not been found yet. It was unlikely that he made it out alive since
he did not know how to swim.
Stella fell into a long silence. She did not cry or oppose the idea that Keegan might be dead. This unnerving calmness left Trevor
unsettled.
After a while, Stella spoke again, "Keegan and I were in the river for a long time. Even the perpetrator has been found. Why
haven't they found him yet?"
Trevor was momentarily at a loss for words. It was indeed strange, but experienced members of the search team said that when
someone drowned, they usually surfaced within three to seven days. It might take even longer during winter. There was also a
chance he might be trapped at the riverbed due to the thick mud downstream.

Moreover, even if Keegan had not drowned initially, his limbs would have frozen in such cold waters, leading to the same
outcome.
Although Stella was the one who asked the question, she did not seem eager to hear his answer. Instead, she quickly drew her
own conclusion, "It's been three days. Keegan must have made it to shore if they can't find his body." Suddenly, she became
emotional, "Did you check the nearby hospitals? Maybe someone rescued him, and he's still unconscious. Trevor, please send
someone to the nearby hospitals. Quick. Keegan must be in one of them."
Trevor opened his mouth to say something but opted not to. There were no villages or towns nearby, let alone hospitals.
Additionally, the incident happened in the early hours of the morning. No one would have been near the river to save Keegan
then. Trevor assumed Stella must be in shock to say such things, but he did not dare to further upset her. So, he said, "Alright, I'll
send someone to search for Keegan at the hospitals. But you have to go back to your bed and rest.
Your injuries aren't healed yet. It's best you don't strain yourself and make the others worried."
Stella was still concerned about Keegan, "Please make sure they go to every medical center nearby, including public clinics,
private clinics, and alternative medicine clinics. We have to check them all."
"Okay," Trevor reassured. "As long as you take care of yourself, I'll search through every hospital in Rivera to find him for you."
"He proposed to me at Solstice Shore, Trevor. We were planning to get our marriage certificate on Valentine's Day," Stella spoke
hoarsely with teary eyes. "Please don't startle him when you find him. He has been through a lot."
Trevor felt a bitter taste in his mouth as he gently carried her back to bed. He mustered a weak smile and whispered, "I know.
Why are you always standing up for him?"
Soon, Felicity entered the room with a doctor. After they examined Stella's condition, they modified her prescription and advised
her to stay in the hospital for a few more days. Trevor then escorted the doctor out and pulled them aside," Doctor, my sister
seems to be experiencing some mental distress."
