Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted by Eleven Jewell

Chapter 1966
Aurora paused momentarily before calling out softly, "Mom...
Dahlia choked up as she spoke, "Aurora, I didn't mean to treat you like that just now. I was just too angry that you stood on
Stella's side and lied to me, so I did that.
"You know I've always loved you and gave you the best of everything.
"When you were locked up back then, I did everything I could to get you out. You can’t leave me alone."
Aurora lowered her gaze and said in a hoarse voice, "Mom, I can't help you. Keegan won't let me do that."
Dahlia continued to plea, "Are you just going to watch me get locked up here without doing anything then? Do you know what it's
like in here?
"There are seven to eight people here together, has no beds, smells terrible, and has no heater too.
"I'm freezing cold now. Aurora, my body is weak, and I can't stand this at all. Please help me."
Aurora pursed her lips. "I know what it's like in there. Mom, you'd better control your temper.
"The people inside are not to be messed with. Don't provoke them or your time inside will be worse than it is now."
Dahlia was taken aback and suddenly stopped crying. She had called Aurora for help, not to listen to her advice.
When she realized that her plan did not work, Dahlia stopped pretending and said with a harsh tone, "Aurora Kane! You
ungrateful thing! I've doted on you all these years for nothing!

"All you have to do is sign and pay some money, yet you're not willing to come. I'm already so old and you want me to stay in a
place like this.
"You're a monster. If I knew I would raise such a thing, I should've strangled you to death the moment you were born!
"I'm locked up now, and what good does it do to you? Do you think that no one will point fingers at you when something like this
happens to your mother?
None of those rich kids would want to be your friends anymore! No one with a decent family background would want to marry
you! You-"
Aurora abruptly ended the call.
Aldor looked at her, who had a pale face and seemed to be in a very bad mood.
He asked softly, "What's wrong?"
Aurora lifted her head and tears welled up in her extremely red eyes.
With a hoarse voice, she asked, "Am I a pathetic person?"
Aldor chuckled and said, "This doesn't sound like something you'd ask."
Aurora wiped away her tears and said while choking, "I know you're just going on a date with me because you're afraid that my
grandmother will give you a hard time and Keegan will cut your salary.
"You don't really care about me, right? You think I'm annoying, don't you?"

Aldor responded honestly, "Well, you’re not exactly wrong."
Aurora was taken aback and cried even louder.
Aldor handed her a tissue and said with a smile, "I prefer the arrogant expression on your face when you look at everyone else
as if they're all worth nothing to you. Crying is not your thing at all."
Aurora did not stop crying while she said, "Are you making fun of me?"
"I'm praising you."
Aurora did not take the tissue, so Aldor wiped the tears away for her.
He laughed while doing so.
Aurora felt worse. "Are you sick? I'm crying, and you're not comforting me. Instead, you're laughing."
Aldor replied in a low voice, "I didn't mean to, I just... couldn't help it."
He switched on the front camera of his phone as he spoke and showed it to Aurora.
Aurora found her mascara smeared all over her eyes, and the tears streaming down her face were black, clinging under her eyes
like worms. She looked horrifying.
After Aldor wiped her face, the two steaks of tears became even longer, making her look funnier.
Aurora immediately stopped crying.
However, Aldor was still laughing.
Now I know why you've been single despite earning so much! You're so annoying!"
Aurora grabbed the phone angrily, wiping her smeared makeup while sobbing.
Aldor chuckled, but surprisingly, did not refute this time.
