Chapter 301
After Marshall listened to what she said, he asked, “The first time we met at the hospital, were you visiting your mother?”
Stella nodded.
“How’s she now?”
Stella shook her head, and her eyes looked gloomy. “She’s still the same. She’s barely living. We’re not sure if she could ever
wake up again.”
Marshall gently comforted her. “She has pulled through all these years. There’ll be a miracle.” Stella bent the corners of her lower
lip and said, “I think so too. She had some responses recently. The doctor said that it was a good sign.”
Marshall’s eyes were tender. “When I had my treatments overseas, I made friends with a few experienced, respected doctors. I
can help you contact them if you want.”
“Thank you. I’ll contact you if I need it.”
Stella paused for a moment. Then, she asked, “Mr. Moore, is there any update about the lawsuit?”
“I’ve drafted the lawyer’s letter. Do you want to see it?”
Stella nodded.
Marshall then sent the lawyer’s letter to Stella on her phone.
The content of the lawyer’s letter was stylized. It was not so different from those that Stella saw online.
The main content was to warn those accounts that spread lies about Stella to delete their comments and to stop the
infringement.
“Anyway.” Marshall suddenly asked, “I remembered you mentioned before that psychiatrist, right?”

visited a
Stella nodded. She mentioned this to Marshall when she was providing him with the evidence back then. But, she did not tell him
in detail at that time. “For some time last year, I don’t know how those people got my email, but they sent me many unsightly
things. My mental state was not that good at the time. But eventually, my friend noticed it in time and brought me to a
psychiatrist.”
The doctor said that she had a moderate depressive mood. During that period of time, she was absent-minded, and she would
often wake up from nightmares. Maybe it was because she read the curses that the online users wrote too intently. At night, she
would dream about those curses coming true. It repeatedly tormented her in her dream.
Sometimes when she went out during the day, she would feel paranoid when someone stared at her in the street. She thought
that the person was judging her.
The psychiatrist said that if Felicity did not notice that there was something wrong with Stella in time and just allowed her to be
on her own, Stella might have fallen into depression.
Marshall pursed his lips as he asked, “Doesn’t Keegan know about this?”
Stella stopped moving. She wryly said, “He was too busy to care about what was going on with
me.”
Around that time, Albert used the Kane family’s background to get a business deal. It was a huge deal, and his production could
not handle it at that time. So, he found a co-packer to help him with some of the orders. The co-packer’s fee was cheaper
because the quality of the raw materials used was different from Albert’s production line. Albert already knew that, yet he still
took the chance. He thought that the appearance of the products looked similar and that the low-quality products were only one-
third of the total order. So, he thought it would go unnoticed.
However, what happened was far worse than what he had imagined. Something went wrong very soon after the order was
delivered.
Many users got injured when they were using the products. And, his partner company was indicted. When the other party found
out that it was a product quality problem, they immediately went to Albert. They requested a chargeback and demanded
compensation.
Of course, Albert was not willing to do that. He made a lot of money from that business deal, not to mention how much he had to
compensate them. Such news about the users getting injured from using the low-quality products alone would damage the
Jewell Group’s reputation severely.
So, he refused to admit it. He even hired a lawyer at a high price to represent him in court.
