"What happened?" Bettie seemed unfazed.
Sabrina responded with a hint of bitterness, "Tyrone has an illegitimate daughter." O
"What? Wait. What did you just say?" Bettie's eyes went wide with shock. "An illegitimate daughter? Damn it! What happened?"
"Yes. It happened before we got married... You know his daughter. It's Jennie."
"Damn it! Jennie is Tyrone's illegitimate daughter? Are you serious?"
"Yes..."
"I can't believe it! What a jerk! He brings his daughter from another woman into your hands and expects you to look after her? You've gotten along well with Jennie, and now he drops this bombshell, hoping you'll just deal with it and not hold it against him? That's outrageous! I'm so mad at him!"
"Well, he didn't realize Jennie was his daughter until recently..." "Shut up! How can you still defend him? One more defending word for him and you're not welcome here!" Bettie was adamant.
Sabrina fell silent.
"Who's the mom?"
"Uh... Keilani."
"Holy shit!" Bettie gasped in disbelief, "They... How did they end up together?"
"I have no idea."
"And... Did Keilani come back for Tyrone?"
"Probably..." Sabrina looked down.
Keilani had visited Wanda's house following Kira's instruction. After Jennie was born, Kira adopted her. It seemed Kira played a role in this.
Sabrina thought that Kira must hate her guts. Seeing her close to reconciling with Tyrone, Kira chose to drop the bomb at this time, aiming to drive them apart.
Tyrone led the Blakely Group in Mathias, while Keilani hailed from the Wilson family in Philade. They would make an ideal couple.
"So, this time, you should be sober? He's already a father..." Bettie said with a sense of resignation.
After a brief pause, Sabrina announced, "I'm pregnant."
Bettie was taken aback. "Well, it's okay. That's actually good news. You can have this baby and bring it up on your own."
Seeing that Sabrina still seemed downcast, Bettie sighed and added, "Try not to worry about it right now. Stay cheerful is crucial for your baby's growth. Letting a bad man get to you isn't worth harming yourself or the baby."
Sabrina inhaled deeply and replied, "You're right."
The baby growing inside her was now her top priority. No matter what, she had to maintain a positive attitude for the sake of her child. Nothing else mattered as much as the baby.
After leaving Wanda's house, Tyrone drove Jennie back to the kindergarten before heading to Starriver Bay.
What was supposed to be a half-hour drive ended up taking him fifty minutes.
Tyrone parked at the villa's entrance, leaned back in his seat, placed his hands on his knees, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. How was he going to break the news to Sabrina? What if she found out and decided to leave him?
Suddenly, there was a knock on the window.
Snapping back to reality, Tyrone opened his eyes and rolled down the window.
"Sir, why aren't you coming inside?" Karen asked, curiosity in her voice, holding a basket in her hands.
Tyrone didn't reply but instead asked, "Is Sabrina home?"
"No, she's not. She went out with Jennie."
Tyrone let out a sigh of relief and said, "Alright, you can go now."
"Sure."
