The Almighty Dragon General

Chapter 1435
James' expression became more solemn.
He sat down, took out a cigarette, and lit it.
Smoke swirled around his fingertips.
Maxine continued, "I've asked around and heard that the Phantom Army has a lot of power.
According to the latest information, even the commander of the military region will be required to obey the Phantom Army's
commands when necessary.
"What else?" James asked while maintaining his composure.
"Something else has happened in the military region.
Halvor, who was being held in the underground prison, was released after being acquitted of all charges.
The Phantom Army was responsible for bringing him out of the underground prison."
James continued to ask, "Has the King's side taken any action recently?"
"No, nothing was going on. Everything is as usual."
"Hmm, understood. I’ll be heading back then.”
In a grave mood, James got to his feet.
'Wait,"
Maxine called out to him immediately.
James turned around to face Maxine.
Maxine stood up as well and reminded him, "Grandpa, or Tobias, is not a simple man. I know him very well. He's way too
cunning.

Previously, he snatched Bennett's Spirit Turtle core. He must have already refined the core now and advanced his cultivation
base to the eighth rank.
Now he’s even the commander of the Phantom Army. As the commander of the Red Flame Army, you’ll certainly come into
contact with him. Be careful."
"Okay.”
James looked at Maxine and asked, "Have you seen Tobias?"
"No.”
"Alright, I understand. I’ll be careful."
After James said that, he turned around and left.
With a somber mood, he hurried to the courtyard where Thea was.
At the moment, Thea was at home.
She had already returned with the groceries. She was dressed in casual clothing, had an apron on, and casually pulled back her
long, black hair. She looked exactly like a housewife.
At this moment, her phone started to ring.
She promptly turned the stove off and pulled out her phone to take a look.
The call came from an unknown number.
When she saw the number, her pretty face became solemn. She accepted the call despite a brief hesitation.
'What is it?" she asked in a low voice.
"S-Sect Leader, I've done what you told me to do. However, the Malevolent is just too unsettling. Even if I cultivated the Ataraxia
you taught me, I can’t use it for very long. I'll lose my bearings if I use it for an extended period of time."
"It’s all good as long as it’s done. If you're finished, don't touch the sword. Bring it to the Celestial Sect's headquarters and place
it in the armory."

"Alright. What should I do next?"
"Just wait for my instructions. Don't call me if it's not important."
Thea said that and ended the call.
Then, she immediately deleted the call's history.
She stood in the kitchen, a hint of worry on her pretty face.
Thea started to get lost in her thoughts.
She was not sure if James would reprimand her if he discovered she had been lying to him.
Nevertheless, she did not want James to know that, in order to assist him, she had done so many things in secret, even
practicing an evil cultivation method.
After being momentarily distracted, she shook her head and tossed the jumble of thoughts out of her head, then focused on
preparing the meal.
By the time James got back, Thea had prepared a table of food.
Without saying anything, James sat on the couch.
Thea came out with the tableware, set it down, and sat next to James.
With a face filled with tenderness, she asked, "You look like you have a lot on your mind, Honey. What happened?"
James regained his composure, shook his head softly, and said, "It's nothing. Let's eat"
