The Almighty Dragon General

Chapter 1558
When he was alive a millennia ago, it only took him a mere ten years to ascend the ranks and be able to take on the Prince of
Orchid Mountain’s men.
Through this, he was able to gain power that was second only to the Prince of Orchid Mountain.
Even though his cultivation base had been abolished, he was still regarded as a legend for being able to create the Nine
Scriptures of Ordeals.
The martial arts he left behind were all first-rate techniques from a thousand years ago.
James planned to study hard and practice them.
However, he did not have the leisure of doing so currently.
It would take several years, perhaps decades, or even longer to fully understand and master each one.
This would not be the case for geniuses though.
However, James did not think himself to be a genius.
While immersed in his thoughts, he made his way up Mt. Thunder Pass.
James sat in a lotus position and waited.
He was going to wait until Thea appeared.
Meanwhile, a man was also seated in a lotus position in a simple wooden house located in a desolate forest somewhere in Sol.
That man was Tobias.
It was immediately apparent that Tobias now had a much more youthful appearance.
As his strength and rank increased, so did his vitality improve. His cells began to recover. His current appearance was of a man
in his 40s.
This was the benefit of practicing martial arts.

The higher one’s cultivation base, the younger one would look and the longer one’s life span.
After Tobias escaped from Malgudi, he meditated in seclusion all this time.
More than half a month had passed, and he had refined the True Energy he absorbed from others.
He had already successfully climbed the Third Stair of the Skyward Stairway.
However, he was still not content with his current strength.
After learning the Great Law of Absorption, he felt that he belonged in the ninth rank.
Tap, tap, tap.
Footsteps came from outside his door.
An old man walked inside the room.
The old man had a long braid and wore a gray robe. He had the appearance of a historical figure from an ancient dynasty.
It was Sky.
Sky walked over and looked at Tobias sitting in his meditative stance and asked, “How’s it going?”
Tobias gradually opened his eyes and looked at Sky standing before him.
He replied calmly, “I’ve already refined the True Energy I absorbed from the other martial artists.
I’ve already ascended the third stair and have reached its peak. I’m only one step away from the Fourth Stair.
“Mhm.”
Sky nodded and said, “Very good. You’ve been in closed-door meditation for some time and are probably unaware of the things
happening outside.
Celestial Sect’s leader has issued a letter of challenge to you. It’s a duel to the death set one week from now. It’ll take place at
Mt. Thunder Pass in the Southern Plains.”
Tobias’ face darkened.

“Celestial Sect’s leader...”
He angrily clenched his fist, and veins bulged on his face.
“Celestial Sect’s leader must have a death wish.”
When he was in Malgudi, Celestial Sect’s leader forced him into a corner, and he lost his life.
However, he was no longer the same man.
He was confident he would be able to defeat Celestial Sect’s leader with his current strength.
“There’s also one more piece of news.”
Sky said, “I’ve gotten hold of news saying that Celestial Sect’s leader is Thea Callahan.”
Tobias stood up abruptly and exclaimed, “How could it be Thea?”
He had been guessing the identity of the Celestial Sect’s leader. All this while, he assumed it could only be Thomas. Other than
Thomas, no one else had that kind of strength.
It was impossible for him to continue to listen calmly upon hearing that the Celestial Sect’s leader was none other than Thea.
He asked doubtfully, “Are you sure Thea is Celestial Sect’s leader? I find it hard to believe.”
Sky responded indifferently, “I’m not a hundred percent sure myself. I only know that news had spread about how Thea had been
doused in the Spirit Turtle’s blood when it was slaughtered during the Mount Thunder Conference.
Thea’s strength had increased significantly after refining the Spirit Turtle’s blood, and she’s now one of the strongest martial
artists in this world.”
“So, I’m to meet her in Mt. Thunder Pass in the Southern Plains?”
“Yeah.”
