Chapter 1662
An entire year had passed before James finally obtained news about Thea.
Regardless of whether Sky’s intel was accurate, at least it gave James a sliver of hope.
He rushed to Cansington without stopping to catch his breath.
Meanwhile, the Callahans in Cansington were gathered together in their villa staring at Thea.
The Thea before them looked about only eighteen or nineteen years old. She had long black hair, delicate features, and fair skin.
“Thea, is it really you?”
“You’re finally back, Thea. What happened? A year ago, James came to Cansington looking for you. Then, he never showed up
again, and neither did you. Where did you two go in the past year?”
The Callahans surrounded Thea and bombarded her with questions.
“James? Who’s that?” Thea’s innocent face expressed that she had no idea what the people around her were referring to.
She continued. “By the way, my exams are coming up soon. I have to go back to my room and study. Also, when did our family
move here?”
Her family members looked at her with dumbstruck eyes.
Thea had just returned to Cansington today.
She headed straight to their original house but discovered it had already been sold to someone else. Lost, she could only borrow
a phone from a passerby and call her family.
After returning home, she was thrust into this situation.
All Thea could remember was how she was hanging out with a few of her classmates. Then, she somehow fell asleep. After
waking up, everything around her seemed to have changed.
Although she was puzzled, she did not think much of it.
When he finally returned home, she found that her whole family had aged considerably. Even her younger brother was already
an adult and had grown so much she could not recognize him anymore.
Gladys asked, “Thea, do you really not remember James?”
Lex said with a frown, “Exam? What are you talking about? Didn’t that happen ten years ago? Have you lost your memory? Are
you only able to recall events from ten years ago?”
“Huh? Ten years ago?” Thea frowned.
“Yes... Could that be possible?” asked Gladys. –
That can’t be... I remember it being the weekend yesterday, and I went out to hang out with some classmates. Oh, right. We
were in the suburbs. Ah, also, there was a huge fire, and I remember. I...
The more she spoke, the more confused she got.
She could not remember what happened next.
“Oh, I remember now. I seemed to have suddenly dozed off.”
Thea scratched her head and said innocently, “Mom, I’m a little hungry.”
Lex immediately ordered, “Prepare some food immediately.”
“Thank you, Grandpa.” Thea grinned.
The Callahans were confused.
David tugged at Gladys’ sleeve and whispered, “Mom, I think Thea really has lost her memories. She’s forgotten everything
that’s happened in the past eleven years and only remembers what happened before then.”
“Yeah, that’s clear to me. What should we do now?” Gladys asked worriedly.
David shrugged and said, “How would I know? Thea came back, but where’s James? Why didn’t James come back with her?
Where is he, and what exactly happened in the past year?”
As soon as Thea appeared in Cansington, countless intelligence networks got hold of the information. The news of her return to
Cansington spread like wildfire.
Soon, ancient martial artists from around the world gathered at Mount Jade, asking the Omniscient Deity for James’
whereabouts. Everyone had the same intent to exchanging the news for a Novenary Golden Pill.
Meanwhile, James was already rushing to Cansington after hearing the news from Sky.
Half a day later, James walked out of the Cansington Airport. He had shoulder-length hair, dressed in a black outfit, and carried a
long sword.
A military vehicle was parked outside the airport.
Several heavily armed soldiers showed up and prevented people from entering or exiting the airport.
The scene left everyone confused.
