The Almighty Dragon General

Chapter 1762
James waited on the island for a long time, yet Sky had not shown up with any martial artists.
Now, he was slightly distraught.
He missed Thea, who was far away in Cansington.
He sat on a rock by the seat and looked at the crashing waves with a slightly sorrowful expression. After a while, he sighed and
stood up.
“Sky will surely come soon. Even if he doesn’t, Thomas will be coming. I should use this time to check on the dragon.”
James made his way back into the Dragon Abyss.
Wilbur was still inside Dragon Abyss.
James walked inside and saw a pile of weeds inside the cave.
Wilbur was seated in a lotus position among the weeds, and a dazzling light was surrounding his body.
When he saw James approach, he stopped cultivating and stood up.
James stretched out his hand, and a powerful force beamed from his fingertips, scribbling a sentence on the ground. “Do you
know where the dragon is? I’d like to have a look for myself.”
Wilbur looked at James and wrote. “Don’t do it. The dragon is very strong. It’s not something you or I am capable of taking down.
A disaster will befall us if we disturb the dragon’s slumber.”
“Is it really that scary?”
James was slightly unconvinced.
It was just a creature.
Even if he could not kill it, it should not be a problem to escape using his strength.
“It’s very, very strong.” After Wilbur wrote these words, he ignored James’ request.

James was even more disheartened.
Since Wilbur was unwilling to lead the way, he did not bother looking for it. It would be troublesome if he provoked the dragon
and had to face it alone.
James also sat down in a lotus position and began to cultivate.
Meanwhile, an enormous cruise ship was advancing rapidly across the ocean.
Thea, who was in a black dress, sat in a lotus position on the bed inside one of the cruise ship’s rooms. A black light radiated
from her body, and intense energy began to flow out from her.
She made use of her free time to absorb the energy within her blood.
Now, she had the qilin’s blood, dragon’s blood, and phoenix’s blood in her body. Her blood had completely mutated and
contained a terrifying amount of energy.
While absorbing it, she felt slightly restless.
In her mind, the picture of James’ death and his voice calling for help plagued her.
At that moment, her hair was disheveled, and she was sweating profusely. Beads of sweat trickled down
her cheeks. Thea knew she could suffer an Energy Deviation and go berserk if she continued.
So, she abruptly stopped cultivating.
Thea used Ataraxia, and the jumbled thoughts in her mind slowly disappeared.
She stood up, wiped the sweat off her face, and walked outside to the cruise ship’s deck with the Malevolent Sword.
Standing on the deck, she looked at the horizon worriedly. “James, are you alive or dead? You promised me that you’d come
back with the dragon’s blood. You better not die on me.”
Click-Clack! Click-Clack! Click-Clack!
She heard the sound of someone in high heels approaching her.

Thea turned around and looked at the person.
It was a tall, fair-skinned woman with long, chestnut hair and an extraordinary air slowly walking toward her.
Her eyebrows were fine, and her eyes were clear and transparent. She oozed charisma.
Her facia! features were delicate, like a carefully sculpted work of art, and she looked almost flawless. The woman walked over
and stopped in front of Thea.
Thea looked at her with visible dissatisfaction and asked, “What’s wrong? What do you want?”
The woman was none other than Maxine.
Although Thea had announced that only eighth-ranked grandmasters were eligible to follow them on this journey, Maxine still
insisted on coming because she was worried about James.
“Nothing. I was just bored in my room. I came out for a walk and didn’t expect to bump into you here too,” Maxine replied softly.
