Thea said, “Calm down, Grandpa. We should observe the situation for now. Don’t worry, I won’t let James get killed. If necessary,
I’ll intervene to save his life even if I don’t stand a chance against Magnus.”
“Thea.”
A voice came from afar.
Thea turned her head and noticed that two gorgeous women were walking toward her. They were Cynthia and Tiara. Over the
past few years, they had been together.
When she saw Tiara, Thea frowned slightly. Tiara, on the other hand, averted her gaze. Cynthia walked over to Thea and
greeted her.
Thea collected herself and nodded, “Hello, Cynthia. It certainly has been a while. How are you doing?”
Cynthia smiled and said, “As well as I can be. By the way, have you seen Maxine recently?”
Thea froze momentarily and asked, “Maxine?”
“Yeah.” Cynthia nodded.
Thea asked, “What happened to her?” She had not seen Maxine recently.
Cynthia said, “She disappeared without a trace about two or three years ago. I have no idea where she went.”
“Huh?” Thea asked, puzzled, “What do you mean?”
Cynthia narrated the chain of events that unfolded.
Hearing this, Thea furrowed her eyebrows and asked, “Are you saying that she made her way over to Mount Bane to confirm for
herself whether James is still alive? However, before meeting James, she disappeared while she was on her way to Mount
Bane.”
“Mhm.” Cynthia nodded and said, “I’ve asked James about this, but he told me that he hasn’t seen Maxine either. This could only
mean that she wasn’t here at Mount Bane.”

Thea said, “I don’t know much either. After all, I’ve been in closed–door meditation, and I seldom walked around outside. I have
no idea about Maxine’s whereabouts. Let’s search for her after the battle is over.”
“Alright, then.”
Cynthia was dismayed. It appeared that something had happened to Maxine.
The earthlings gathered and waited patiently for James to arrive.
At that moment, more and more cultivators from the Sealed Realms appeared. Each of them possessed enormous strength.
Among them were some top–notch geniuses, who came here to watch the show before the providence emerged.
“What’s going on?”
“Why isn’t James here yet?”
“Did he chicken out?”
James did not show up despite Magnus‘ appearance, so many impatient Outsiders were getting irritated.
Meanwhile, James was sitting in a lotus position on a rock at the peak of another mountain. The warm sunlight brushed through
his skin as he simply sat there motionless.
Then, he slowly stood up and appeared hundreds of meters in the air and scanned his surroundings. Upon spotting Magnus, he
realized that the place was teeming with cultivators.
A grin crept up on his face, “I guess I have to impress the crowd.”
Then, he walked toward the mountain where Magnus was in mid–air. In the blink of an eye, he arrived at his destination.
“J–James has arrived!”
“Interesting... To think he would dare appear... I’m curious to see how the battle will turn out.”
