began determining the ranking and making preparations for the coming arena battle.
This process took them two days.
Two days later, an elderly man in a grey robe appeared in the arena in the Moonlit Ridge Painting’s central region. He was Yoan
Xenocrates, the person in charge of the current admission process.

region. You have gained the right to compete in the arena battle.”

“Only a thousand among you will be admitted as disciples of the Welkin Academy. This means that ninety percent of you will be
disqualified.”

“Your opponent in the arena battle will be determined based on the number of tokens you. have. The ones with the least number
of tokens will fight against those with the highest number of tokens. The winner will enter the next round, whereas the loser will
enter the lower bracket. However, this does not mean that you will be disqualified immediately. You’ll be randomly assigned an
opponent in the lower bracket. If you emerge victorious, you’ll still gain the right to enter the next round.
“The top hundred cultivators who obtain the most tokens will enter the next round without having to participate in the arena
battle.
“After the first round of battle, there’ll be a free-for-all battle royale where a hundred examinees will be randomly selected. The

Melany smiled and said, “I’m eighth.”
Hearing this, James said, “Not bad... That means you won’t have to go through the first round of battle. If we are assigned to the
same team in the battle royale, I’ll make sure that you become a disciple of the academy.”
“I’m already satisfied to be here.”
Melany was grateful for James’ assistance.

She was weak. If not for James’ help, she would not have arrived at the central region and be in the top ten. Although she could
advance directly to the next round, she knew that she would be disqualified in the battle royale.
