The Almighty Dragon General

James nodded slightly and said, “Hello, Master.”
Helvius looked at James. Upon sensing that his aura was only at the Divine Rank, he could not hide his dismay. However, since
he possessed an Imperial Weapon, he must not be an ordinary man.
So, he did not leave immediately but asked, “Is something the matter?”
Wearing a grim expression, James said, “I have something important to discuss with you.”
“Speak,” Helvius said.
James asked, “Have you ever heard of the Sanctuary of Darkness?”
Helvius froze.
Then, he looked James in the eye, wondering why he would mention the Sanctuary at this moment.
He nodded slightly and said, “Yes, I have.”
James said, “The Sanctuary of Darkness is a mysterious organization that cultivates Curse Magic that has existed since the
Primeval Age. I have just received accurate information that they will be attacking the Elixir Pavilion during the Elixir Gathering.”
Helvius had long known of this.
Based on how Jadranka Yevdokiya went to great lengths to approach the Old Master and injure him through his hands, he knew
that the Sanctuary would be making a move soon. However, Helvius had no idea how James learned about this.
He was lost in thought. To him, James was sent by the Sanctuary to investigate whether he had regained his Path Seal. As he
thought of this, he smiled and said, “Stop fooling around. Why would the Sanctuary make a move on us? Besides...”
His smile disappeared. “The Elixir Pavilion is the most powerful force in this world. We have countless officials. Even if the
Sanctuary has such an ambition, they should at least consider the power disparity.”
James shook his head slightly and said, “You’re overconfident, Master. The Sanctuary is not as simple as you think they are.
They are well-versed in Curse Magic, which is extremely unpredictable.”

Helvius dodged the question and asked, “How do you know that the Sanctuary is about to make a move on us? You’re only at
the Divine Rank. With your strength, I don’t think you have the right to approach them.”
James answered him truthfully, “To be frank, I fought against them once. Back then, in the Spiritual World, they controlled my
wife...”
James narrated the chain of events that unfolded in the Eidolon Realm.
Hearing this, Helvius stood up abruptly.
“Y-You’re the one who ruined the Sanctuary’s plot in the Cursed World?”
He was shocked.
As the Master of the Elixir Pavilion, he knew about everything that occurred, even in the Eidolon Realm. However, he did not
know that James was the one who foiled the plot of the Sanctuary.
James nodded slightly and said, “Yes. Jules was there as well. He can be my witness.”
Enraged, Helvius roared, “That kid! Why didn’t he tell me about this sooner?”
In truth, Jules had told the Great Elder that James possessed immense power. However, the Great Elder dismissed his claims
immediately. Soon after, Helvius entered his closed-door meditation and did not learn of this information.
At that moment, Helvius believed James.
“I trust you,” Helvius said anxiously, “Actually, I learned that the Sanctuary intends to make a move on us a few thousand years
ago.”
“Huh?”
James froze.
Helvius said, “About two thousand years ago, Official Jadranka manipulated me into injuring the Old Master, who also inflicted
damage on me. Now, the two most powerful figures of the Elixir Pavilion are injured. Jadrank was sent by the Sanctuary. As a
spy who infiltrated our ranks, her objective is to injure the Old Master. That’s the only way the Sanctuary stands a chance against
us.”

“What? You’re injured, Father?!” Yuina was stunned.
Helvius waved his hand slightly and interrupted her.
He looked at James and asked, “Master James, do you have any plans?”
Hearing that James was the one who foiled the plot of the Sanctuary in the Eidolon Realm, even Helvius had begun addressing
James as Master.
Hearing this, James fell into deep thought.
What should he do?
After all, he only came looking for Helvius because he had no ideas.
