The Almighty Dragon General

Though Fifth Stage Lords were not invincible by any means, they were nonetheless terrifying. In the outside world, just one of
them would be able to wipe out lower-ranked universes. Now, they were defeated by a single gust of wind.
Upon crashing to the ground, they spurted out a mouthful of blood. Before they could even react, the beast charged toward them
and tried to trample them with its humongous feet. Seeing this, they hurriedly made their escape.
Seeing that their combined strength could not even scratch the beast, Lord Samsong paid no heed to the fleeing Lords and
hurriedly made his way toward the Light of Acme. He wanted to seize this opportunity to take away the Light of Acme.
Rumble!
A fierce battle erupted.
The beast could attack its enemies using any part of its body—the horn, tail, and even the scales. With no means to fight back,
the Lords hurriedly fled.
James, on the other hand, remained where he stood. Upon seeing Lord Samsong charging toward the Light of Acme, his body
flashed, and he hurriedly gave chase. Seeing that James was upon him, Lord Samsong raised the sword in his hand and
slashed. A radiant Sword Energy materialized, carrying a Nine-Power Macrocosm Power that could potentially destroy anything
in its path.
Fearful, James dodged the attack.
Boom!
As the Sword Energy struck elsewhere, the void shattered. A huge fissure appeared in the void, and the scenery seemed out of
an apocalyptic movie.
“Samsong, are you going to seize the Light of Acme for yourself?”
James’ face darkened as he said coldly, “We agreed to work together before coming here. Yet, here you are abandoning your
teammates to their fate and taking the Light of Acme for yourself!”
“Stall for time, Forty-nine! I will meet up with you once I obtain the Light of Acme. When that happens, we will leave this place
together and research the Light of Acme. Together, we will reach the Acme Rank.”
Knowing that James was difficult to deal with, Samsong kept things civilized.

Before James could respond, the beast turned around and spurted out a materialized beam.
Samsong and James swiftly dodged the attack. The former paid no heed to the beast’s attack and immediately appeared before
the Light of Acme. With his immense power, he forcibly stored the Light of Acme away and turned to leave, leaving James and
the others to their fates.
James tried to give chase but was entangled in a fight against the beast. Hence, he had no choice but to come to blows. He
catalyzed Chaos Power and summoned his full strength. Waves of Sword Energy materialized and struck the beast. However,
the beast was unscathed. As the battle progressed, he was struck by the beast’s attack and suffered injuries. Meanwhile, the
other Fifth Stage Lords had already retreated to the rear. Though the battle only lasted for a short duration, many Lords perished
at the beast’s hand.
“Dammit, he’s strong!”
James was stunned.
As he slashed with the Demon-Slayer Sword, tens of thousands of Sword Energy materialized and formed a Sword Net that
struck the beast. Although the waves of Sword Energy were a direct hit, the beast remained unscathed.
James knew that his power was far from enough to defeat the beast. At that moment, he thought about escaping.
After slashing the beast, he hurriedly staggered backward and stayed far away from the region. However, the beast then turned
toward the injured Lords. As they were injured, their movements were slow, and they could not escape in time.
At that moment, one of the Lords was struck by the beast’s tail, and he instantly disintegrated into nothingness. Not a speck of
his physical body or soul remained.
Upon seeing this, James turned back. His body flashed, and he appeared before the beast in the next instant. Then, he slashed
the beast’s head.
