Through their simple conversation, James learned about the general history of the Space Race.
He also learned about the Empyrean herb that had been left by a powerhouse of the Human Race long ago in the Space Race’s
plantation.
No one knew this human’s name, but there were records of him in the Space Race’s ancient books being addressed as the Holy
Emperor.
Unfortunately, the Empyrean herb in their plantation could not be consumed by the Space Race.
Haestra sighed and said, “It was supposed to be good that a magical Empyrean herb was growing on our plantation.
We wanted to wait for it to fully mature before contacting the Human Race's powerhouses.
We were planning to hand it back to them.
Unexpectedly, the Sou] Race had set its eyes on it and sent an army to attack us.
We’ve been defending against them for a while.
We’ve suffered many casualties, and many of our remaining soldiers are injured.” “What kind of Empyrean herb is it? Could you
bring me to see it?” James was curious about the Empyrean herb.
‘How special is this herb? Is it only consumable by humans?’ thought James.
“Sure.
This way, please.” Haestra gestured for them to follow.
Then, he stood up and led James and Dahlia to the plantation.
The Space Race’s plantation was massive and covered an area much bigger than an average- sized planet.
In the plantation were countless herbs, many of which were Marcocosm herbs.
As soon as James entered the plantation, he saw colorful Empyrean herbs and fruits.
Their sweet aroma suffused the air of the plantation.
Heastra led James to the center of the plantation.
The central region was an open space.
The soil on the ground was colorful, and a small, mystical tree was growing in the middle.
The tree was only one meter tall, with only one main trunk and no branches.
A few translucent milky- white leaves grew out from the trunk.
The leaves had stripes, which could be clearly seen.
A single fruit could also be seen growing from the top of the tree.
It was the size of a fist and had an oval shape.
It had milky- white color and emitted a faint glow.
James sensed a magical power emanating from the tree as he got closer.
His pores immediately stretched open, and his cells grew active.
At that moment, his mind and body relaxed, making him feel refreshed.
“what?” James was surprised.
“What wonderful power.” Haestra and some of the Space Race’s powerhouses could not help but glance at James inquisitively.
Haestra pointed to the small tree and said, “That plant grew from the mysterious seed that the Holy Emperor buried in our
plantation.
After many years, it eventually grew into this small tree.” Another respected elder of the Space Race piped in.
“As soon as it bloomed, we’ve been sensing very mysterious power from it.
We've searched through all our ancient books and finally found some vague information about it.” Dahlia asked, “What exactly is
this tree?” Haestra explained, “According to our ancient records it’s called Tree of Life, whereas its fruit is called Fruit of Life.
Its fruit holds powerful Life Power.
“Tt can only be consumed when one is weak and exhausted.
Consuming it when one is full of energy would backfire and result in the opposite effect.
“The vitality and potential of the Human Race had been tampered with and was cut short.
After reaching a certain level, humans can’t improve any further.
That’s why I said the Fruit of Life is useless to us.” James’ eyes immediately lit up.
He struggled to break through the Omniscience Path’s Sixth Stage and had an even harder time breaking into the Seventh
Stage.
Now that he discovered the Fruit of Life, he could obtain abundant Life Power and unlock more of his body’s potential.
James immediately rushed toward the tree.
Before the Space Race’s creatures could react, he had already plucked the Fruit of Life.
Everyone watched James in shock.
James firmly held onto the fruit and looked at the flabbergasted powerhouses.
Then, he grinned at them.
“Didn't you say it’s useless to your race and would only benefit humans? Since I’m a human, I'll happily put it to good use.”
Haestra returned to his senses and looked at James helplessly.
