The Almighty Dragon General

“We’ll talk inside.”
James said and entered the room.
In the room, Yemima sat opposite him.
“What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you are jealous.” James smiled mischievously at Yemima.
Yemima, on the other hand, reminded him, “I’m just reminding you not to cross the line. Lust will prevent you from accomplishing
what’s important. Such events must not be repeated constantly.”
Yemima was worried that James would fool around outside and bring home a group of women. If that happened, her status on
Mount Doom would diminish. This was not what she or her family desired.
“Alright, don’t worry. I know my limits.” James stretched. At that moment, his suppressed urges had been released, and he could
not feel any better.
“By the way, I plan to find a place and enter a closed-door meditation,” James said.
“A closed-door meditation?” Yemima glanced at James and said, “We don’t have much time left till the gathering. You have
crossed into the Quasi Acme Rank. In what limited time we have, your rank will not increase any further.”
James was now at early-stage Quasi Acme Rank. Reaching the middle-stage would take ages, so he would not be able to reach
that stage before the gathering no matter how great his potential was.
“I’m going to cultivate a secret art,” James explained.
“Cultivate what?” Yemima asked.
James said smilingly, “Previously, I went into hiding and cultivated after making my escape. It was then I obtained a providence.
I’m worried that I won’t be able to fight one versus five during the gathering. So I have to cultivate some more.”
“One versus five?”
Yemima immediately stood up and exclaimed, “What are you trying to do, Wyot? I know you are strong and arrogant, but you
have gone too far now. Don’t you want to find some allies? Besides, this gathering is open to all at the Quasi Acme Rank. Do you
know how many teams there will be?”

James’ smile froze, and he said grimly, “I know what I’m doing.”
“No, you can’t do this. If you just can’t be bothered to form a team, I will help you select a few teammates. Even if their strength
is only mediocre, they are Quasi Acmeans, after all. They can help you out.”
Yemima did not want James to fight alone. After all, this concerned the Chaos Sacred Lotus, an object that would allow one to
reach the Acme Rank. James needed to reach the Acme Rank to secure his position as the Minor Patriarch.
James, however, said, “I need a battle to assert my authority. If I choose a team, I won’t be able to do so even if I emerge
victorious. However, if I fight alone and win, my prestige in the race will rise substantially. This will be crucial for me to become
the Patriarch.”

“Oh, so now you’re keeping things a secret from me, Wyot.” Yemima grumbled, “Speak. What aces do you have
up your sleeves?”
James walked toward her and embraced her tightly. Their faces were only inches away from each other. James
could clearly sense her face heating up.
Her cheeks were red as she blushed, “Wh-What do you want?”
James released his grip and said smilingly, “These are my trump cards, my keys to victory. How can I tell you
