Chapter 4539
“Not a chance.” Saachi gave him a sidelong glance.
The Acme Herbs were extremely rare and precious.
Moreover, Saachi had spent a huge effort transferring most of these herbs in the herb garden from the Aeternus District before
they had fled from there. They could not afford to give away the herbs carelessly, especially to a relatively unknown man.
“Fine. Forget what I just said.”
James thought, ‘I don’t really need these high-grade herbs yet since I haven’t begun developing my new bloodline power. Also,
it’ll take quite some time for me to train and improve the new bloodline power in the beginning. I won’t need herbs of the Acme
grade for that stage.’
As James walked away in a carefree manner, Saachi stood there and stared at the man’s receding figure.
A few seconds later, Leif materialized beside her.
Saachi instructed, “Keep a close watch on James. He’s eyeing the herbs in this garden. Also, reinforce the formation around the
herb garden.”
“Understood.” Leif nodded and left to carry out her orders.
Meanwhile, James visited several major cities located in the universe.
After going through a series of fierce battles with those
back in the Aeternus District, their apothecaries were almost out of medicine and elixirs since there was a huge demand for
those items to treat countless wounded civilians and fighters.
Furthermore, the universe sustained severe damage due to the war to the point where it had not been able to recover the
energies of heaven and earth. People could hardly find any rare, high-grade herbs in the wild. Even low-grade herbs were very
scarce.
To his disappointment, James could only find low-grade herbs or elixirs at the apothecaries he visited. Eventually, he decided to
visit other nearby planets to look for the herbs he needed.
Unfortunately, James realized the situation was quite similar on those planets. People had harvested most of the useful herbs,
and it would require a long time for new herbs to grow and mature.
In the end, James managed to collect a batch of herbs from several primeval forests. Some of them were Sage-ranked herbs
whereas the rest of them were below that grade.
After James had returned to the spiritual mountain where he was staying, he headed out to the backyard and placed all the
herbs on the ground. The man had a gloomy expression on his face.
“We had so many herbs of these grades back in the Human Universe. If I knew that this was going to happen, I would have
collected a bunch of them or even stocked up rarer herbs beforehand,” James muttered dejectedly.
Then, he shook his head.
“Well, these herbs will do for now. Once I’ve created a new bloodline power, I can try to search for herbs of higher grades outside
this region. I need to focus on improving this new bloodline power so that I can remove the seal as soon as possible.”
A short while later, James conjured a huge earthen pot. It was large enough to fit a grown man. He transferred the herbs into the
pot, filled the pot up with water, and started boiling the mixture.
Soon enough, James was done making the herbal concoction.
He drew a long breath.
‘This is the start of my new bloodline power!”
Upon saying that, James stepped into the pot and immersed himself in the concoction.
“James? What on earth are you doing?”
Leif had a puzzled look on his face as he slowly approached the huge pot. He could see the peculiar swirls of colors in the pot’s
contents. He could also detect a weak aura from that mixture.
