The Almighty Dragon General

The Almighty Dragon General Chapter 5916
Truett flinched upon hearing that. The Genesis Power contained in his body went out of control and collided viciously within his
body. Truett quickly tried to suppress it.
Franciscus' curse had infiltrated his soul.
Truett would have no trouble fixing his condition if he had his full powers. However, he only had powers of the Yuraeceon Xaelm
Rank's Seventh Tribulation at the moment. Therefore, he was inevitably affected by the curse.
Yegor noticed Truett's pale complexion, and he was instantly reminded of it. Yegor raised his palm and channeled the Genesis
Power toward Truett.
Eventually, Truett felt better. He asked curiously, “Dad, you're saying that you-know-who had the same level of skills and powers
as my opponent too?"
Franciscus' name became taboo across the different Genesis Worlds because of his curse. Therefore, everyone would use you-
know-who to refer to him.
"No." Yegor shook his head. "Back then, you know who could defeat cultivators way superior to him as well. However, his limit
was only up to cultivators who were five ranks higher than him."
Yegor directed his gaze at Truett. "According to what you've shared just now, that man can defeat those six ranks higher than
him. He even overpowered you during the battle. That's a real genius we're talking about."
Yegor threw his head back and gulped down the liquor in his cup. Then, he said, "It wasn't a shame that you've lost to him!"

Upon hearing those words, Truett closed his eyes with a resigned expression.
Indeed, it was not a shameful thing for Truett to have lost the battle. Still, he was having a hard time accepting what happened.
All along, everyone regarded him as an exceptional, peerless cultivator.
People would normally look at Truett with either fear or admiration. Yet, after the loss, Truett felt as though he had lost all his
glory.
Truett was certain that James would not start spreading about his loss to others with malicious intentions. Still, he could not
shake off the fact that he had lost to James.
"You should head back there soon." Yegor slowly turned the cup with his fingers. "You should follow the Timaeus Sect's rules
since you joined them. You're my son, but you are also an elder of Mount Martialis now."
"Go back to that place?" Truett lifted his head and smiled wryly. "Why, though? I need at least an
entrapoch to regain my powers."
“What a fool!" Yegor slammed the cup down onto the table. “Are you going to continue wallowing in despair just because you've
lost this time?"
“Do you think you won't be able to achieve great things just because you are only at the Yuraeceon Xaelm Rank's Seventh
Tribulation now?" he asked.
“What does it matter what I do when that person is doing far greater things?" Truett smiled bitterly.
“You fool!" Yegor pointed at Truett.

“Haven't you realized yet? It was my idea for him to have the battle with you! Do you honestly think that you can steal the
Genesis-Sealing Pill from our treasury so easily?"
Truett had a look of bewilderment on his face.
'It was all an elaborate plan? Dad and James planned all this to make me lose in the battle?' Truett pondered.
It slowly dawned on Truett that this elaborate plan had probably started the moment James demonstrated the combination of the
Golden Body and Marciais Combat Form as an attack.
They knew Truett would use every way he could think of to have a battle with James after having seen him perform that skill.
When Truett snuck into Skynet's treasury, he happened to witness an elder putting a first-grade Genesis-Sealing Pill into a box.
At the time, Truett thought that he was lucky to have found what he needed at just the right time. Yet, all of that turned out to be a
trap.
It was all to lure Truett into issuing a battle challenge to James and make him lose.
As it all became clear, Truett met Yegor's eyes.
“Why? Why did you do all this?"
“It's because you needed to go through that." Yegor said calmly, “The experience will help you realize that you are not invincible
and unbeatable. That way, you'll train humbly and diligently to achieve better enlightenment in your journey of cultivation."
