James nodded. Then, he briefly shared some details about the Forladtt Land and
the bet.

After listening to James’ explanation, Biefren mused, "That means you have
reached a certain level of power to take Tai Chi on for a battle." "That's why you
should do it now, Mr. Biefren." James said firmly, "Take back your core. Even
though the core may be damaged and you may lose part of your powers, it is still
sufficient to keep you alive.

in power.

As Biefren paused thoughtfully, James swiftly lifted his hand and channeled a
beam of black and white light.

James' light pushed the purplish-black light beam toward Biefren.

In a flash, Biefren radiated a tremendous amount of energy, sending the purplish-
black energy back to the cauldron.

"Mr. Biefren!" James shouted anxiously, "You..." "I feel even more reassured
now," Biefren interrupted.

He smiled warmly. "James, you are our hope.

"All along, the Ying World and the spirit beasts have been subjected to
humiliation and unfair treatment. We need you to change this.

"Don't feel bad about me doing this. I've chosen this path myself. I didn't do it just
to help you. I do it to help the spirit beasts overcome this awful fate so that they
can have a better life as well."

Biefren conjured an energy ball and moved it toward James. "This is the Zertec
Pearl, the most important item owned by the highest leader of the spirit beasts.
"All beasts would submit to the bearer of the Zertec Pearl upon sensing its aura.
I'll hand it over to you now."

Biefren pointed to James and sent the Zertec Pearl into his body.

"Mr. Biefren, I've already decided to bring you and the spirit beasts to the Forladtt
Land!" shouted James.

Biefren ignored James" shouting and put his palms together. In an instant, the
purplish-black light beam between them was directed toward James.

As the purplish-black lights washed over him, James found that he could not
move a muscle due to a mysterious force.

He could not do anything at all as the purplish-black energy was absorbed into
his Ultimate Golden Body.

That energy seeped into James" body and traveled to his eyes. His dark pupils
began shining mysteriously with a myriad of colors.

On the other hand, Biefren had put down his hands and adjusted his breathing
slightly. He said, "Come out now."

In the distance, a flash of purplish-gold light shot through the air and stopped
next to Biefren. The Zenithal Roc Matron stepped out of the light the next instant.
She took a glance in James’ direction. Then, she turned to look at Biefren, whose
hair had all turned gray.

Tears brimmed in her eyes as the Zenithal Roc Matron noticed how

Biefren’s form was slowly fading away.

"Don’t cry." Biefren smiled lovingly. "This is just my fate. Also, I have to do this as
the leader of the spirit beasts." "He stopped you! He even made a promise!" The
Zenithal Roc Matron sobbed, "I could tell that he wasn't lying. He knows of a way
to change your fate!" "Mortals can't change something that's predestined,”
Biefren said calmly, "I just hope that the next leader of the spirit beasts won't

formation around them.
