James slapped his hand against his forehead. "I didn't mean to stop her. I was just very shocked that there was a fair and unbiased Tai Chi Tribulation Envoy. It was a misunderstanding."
"He had very good things to say about you," the Law of Paths called, "Nimue,
you're the best tribulation envoy I have. Would you like to work for him?"
Nimue Yoirin, the beautiful lady, paused briefly before bowing her head. "I will do as you command."
The Law of Paths asked, "Young man, how about I have her become the
Heavenly Path of the space under your governance?"
For a moment, James had a look of bewilderment on his face. He quickly caught on to the Law of Paths' intentions and bowed deeply to him. "Thank you so much for your help."
Just then, the wall of light shone brighter with a beautiful, golden light. "Don't push Nimue around just because she's kind-hearted, young man. I'll give you one more piece of advice since Yianni was a good friend of mine.
"There are certain rules and taboos you must never break. Once you cross the line, you may never get to undo it. No one would be able to help you with it. Take care." As soon as he finished, the wall of light transformed into a beam of golden light and shot toward the horizon.
After the Law of Paths left, James straightened his back and heaved a deep breath.
Meanwhile, Nimue took a few steps forward and eyed him warily. "You won't try to stop me now, right?"
James beamed warmly and gestured for her to proceed with her work. Then, he moved to the side and watched Nimue work on the Heavenly Tribulations meant for Truett.
After a while, Lesia transmitted her voice to James. "Master, what is the Law of Paths' intention of doing this?"
"He helped me with a favor and gave me a warning at the same time. It's the perfect way to keep someone in check."
James sighed softly. "One can't help but admire his cleverness."
Lesia replied, "He failed to obtain the Yuraeceon Genesis Bell which carried Morgott's spirit. So, he sent his disciple to keep a close eye on us by making her the Heavenly Path?"
"Aren't you and I connected mentally and spiritually?" James chuckled. "Can't you tell what I was thinking?"
Lesia snorted. "Perhaps it's been too long since we last saw eye to eye. I can't detect your thoughts as perfectly as I used to. So, tell me what it is already!" James laughed inwardly. Then, he sent another voice transmission. "You're right about him wanting to keep an eye on us, but that's just part of the reason why he was here.
"In a way, he has also acknowledged our plan of building the Sky Bridge to isolate the Genesis Region, which has been in Tai Chi's control all along. That region is ours from now on."
Lesia yelped in excitement, "Kya! That's right! The Law of Paths' disciple has been sent there to become our Heavenly Path.
"The Forladtt Land, Skynet, and the Yin's Void are included in the Genesis
Region where the Sky Bridge is built. That means he's recognized us as the leader of that region!
"Starting today, Tai Chi no longer has the right to interfere with the affairs
happening in our region!"
Lesia started laughing. "Even if Tai Chi finds this unfair, she can't just try to take
back the region from us. She'll have to talk to the Law of Paths."
James was lost in thought. The supreme beings from Zymurgy were much wiser
and stronger than the Genesis World's grand patriarchs and leaders. Without showing his true form, the Law of Paths was very persuasive and
reasonable through the way he held their conversation.
On the surface, he did not choose to side with James or Tai Chi to maintain his neutral stance as the Law of Paths.
However, appointing his disciple to be the Heavenly Path of that area was a statement in itself.
Still, James was not naive enough to think that he had earned the Law of Paths' full support.
The Law of Paths simply compromised since James had cornered him with all those facts just now. Moreover, James had Morgott's spirit in his possession. Despite all that, James still felt their trip to capture Hetsema was fruitful.
