As the Morgott flashed an evil grin, Herodias instinctively shielded in front of Thea.
Herodias warned, "Don't listen to him, Thea. He's a liar, a deceiving demon. He promised my mother he would cease the slaughter of Zymurgy's supreme
beings. However, he did not keep his word. Ultimately, the former Tai Chi and Law of Paths died under his hands. He's a-"
Before Herodias could finish her accusation, Morgott abruptly extended his hand, and a terrifying purple-red light burst forth, merging into a massive, ghostly hand. Herodias was choked by the neck and lifted into the air.
"You!" Thea was furious.
Morgott warned in an icy tone, "Thea, I suggest you remain still. Otherwise, I'll kill her. And you should know, being slain by hands means no chance of ever being reincarnated."
Thea's hands clenched into a fist. "Did you secretly enter the Daeclon Rank?" Morgott responded with a sinister chuckle, "I have to thank your husband for that! If he hadn't brought me to the Great Historial Land's Forbidden Bloodshade and triggered the influx of Chaos and Hongrome Essence, I would've never been able to cultivate a Level Six Demonic Body."
As he spoke, Morgott slowly raised his hand, his expression ominous. "My Demonic Body has been nourished by Chaos and Hongrome Essence. Its power is unmatched. Though I only possess half of my original strength, I'm invincible against those under the Soma Daeclon Rank."
Thea, absorbing the full weight of his words, was visibly shaken.
Realizing the full extent of Morgott's deceit, Thea understood that he had
exploited James's ability to summon Chaos Essence and Hongrome Essence. All this while, he had been stealing a portion for his empowerment.
Thea asked coldly, "Since you are so powerful, you should go to Zymurgy to exact your revenge. So why do you need to work with my husband?" With a sly grin, Morgott replied, "I admire him. He is loyal and honorable. He's destined to inherit Emperor Yardenor's cultivation knowledge. Together, we'd easily overpower those trivial forces in Zymurgy. Even those old fools under the Supreme Path would falter against us.
"Don't worry. I see him as a friend. I'll treat him well once I seize control of the Supreme Path."
Thea, however, remained unconvinced.
Morgott, a demon known for his ruthless pursuit of power, would stop at nothing to achieve his ends. Meanwhile, Thea, having recently given birth and not fully recovered her strength, found herself at a disadvantage, unable to assist James directly. Therefore, she could only bide her time until James showed up.
After developing a strategy, Thea asked calmly, "What about me?"
Morgott replied, "I already told you I'd help you regain your other half and recover your position as the Yin governor."
Thea countered arrogantly, "But my other half is under Tai Chi's control. With your strength, can you kill her?"
This question served as both a challenge and a form of psychological warfare, placing Morgott in a difficult position and exposing potential vulnerabilities in his claims of alliance and strength.
Morgott fell into an awkward silence.
Thea shook her head and said, "Your plan is unrealistic. How about you hear me out?"
Morgott asked, surprised, "Do you have a plan?"
Thea smiled calmly and replied, "I don't, but my husband does. As long as he is willing, he can help merge your other remnant souls. You'd regain your full strength."
Morgott questioned, "You're suggesting to wait for James to leave seclusion?" Thea smiled calmly in response.
Morgott's face darkened. "You're trying to deceive me? Do you think I'm stupid? Once he leaves seclusion, I won't be able to escape."
Thea snorted. "Your enemies are those in Zymurgy, and so are ours." Morgott waved his hand and said, "No, your enemy is Tai Chi. Once she's dead,
you two will forget about me. You're a very cunning woman, even worse than me.
I can't believe you tried to bluff me."
