The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 1007
Thalassa gently stroked Atticus’ tender little head, her voice tinged with a bittersweet ache as she consoled him. “Of course,
Mommy is your mommy. You will be a good boy and do your homework at home, and I’ll be back before you know it.”
“Okay, mom. Come back soon.” Atticus replied, his voice soft and childlike, a tone he reserved only for moments with Thalassa.
“Okay.” she promised.
She watched Atticus and the other three kids retreat to their rooms. Then she turned and
met Lysander’s piercing gaze.
She steadied her nerves and asked calmly, “Who are we meeting? I need to know so I can pick out the right outfit.”
“It’s the son of my grandfather’s friend, an international business magnate, Joshua.” Lysander explained.
So, they were meeting the son of Zephyr’s friend, and he was a business tycoon no lèss.
Since it was Zephyr’s friend’s son, that meant he was of Lysander’s father’s generation – a senior figure.
Meeting a business magnate required a balance in dress: not too understated, yet not too flashy.
Had Lysander really shown up at the daycare gates today just to take her to a networking
mixer?
Thalassa suddenly understood why Lysander had been at the school gates.
What she couldn’t fathom was why, if Lysander had no intention of marrying her or giving her any official status, he would bring
her to meet Zephyr’s friend’s son?
Men typically only introduced a woman into their inner circles and introduced her to important family members only when they
were committed or engaged with future secured, right?
Her current status was awkward, merely the mother of Lysander’s children, neither his girlfriend nor his fiancée. He had made it
clear he’d never marry her.

She was just a tool for his fleshly needs, disposable as soon as he grew tired of her.
With such an insignificant role, why would he taking her to meet such an important senior figure?
Thalassa didn’t ask despite her confusion. Questions would only add to her
embarrassment.

She had questioned Lysander many times before about whether he intended to marry her and provide their children a complete
family. The answers were always a clear refusal – it was just her delusions and she would never be welcomed into the Sinclair
family.
So, she had learned her lesson, no longer asking such foolish questions.
Thalassa searched through the wardrobe on the second floor and chose a designer dress. The dress was pristine ivory in color
with a modest Peter Pan collar and a hem just below
the knee.
Although the style was understated and restrained, it was a reputable designer piece.
One couldn’t meet an international business magnate in bargain-basement attire.
With light makeup and her hair elegantly pinned up to reveal her slender neck, Thalassa slipped into her simple white flats.
Her entire demeanor was crisp, graceful, and fresh-a breath of pure elegance.
She descended the stairs to find Lysander waiting on the couch. His deep-set eye upon her, watching her approach.
It wasn’t until she was close that he looked away and stood up. His voice was deep
said, “Let’s go.”
Lysander walked ahead with long strides toward the door, and Thalassa took a deep breath before following.

Truth be told, she wasn’t interested in meeting the son of Zephyr’s friend or attending any cocktail party.
All she wanted was to have Atticus erasing that damning video from Bruce’s possession.
But with Lysander always being around, she hadn’t had the chance to give Atticus Bruce’s phone number and IP address.
The video in Bruce’s possession needed to be dealt with swiftly and successfully, with no room for error. Otherwise, if they
spooked him, Bruce could transfer the video elsewhere, making it even harder to delete.
So, she decided to wait and talk to Atticus once she returned, to avoid any complications.
