Chapter 1026
There was only this one video in the cryptic file Bruce had kept it encrypted, probably fearing his wife might stumble upon it
Thalassa had especially warned Atticus not to click on it. She feared that the contents might scare the boy and be detrimental to
his development.
She had endured so much, for so long, and now she could finally delete the video that Bruce had been using to threaten her.
At this moment, Thalassa was a whirlwind of emotions excited, anxious, and on the brink of tears
No one could understand what she was feeling, and no one knew what she had been through all this time.
Atticus, ever the obedient kid, hovered the mouse over the video and opted to delete it without a second glance.
The screen blinked as the video vanished, leaving an empty space in the file directory.
Thalassa heaved a sigh of relief but only for her nerves to tense up again. She turned to Atticus and asked, “Is it completely and
permanently deleted? Like, gone forever with no chance of recovery by any means?”
She had deleted the video from Bruce’s phone with great difficulty; but if Bruce managed to restore it, there was no telling how
far he might go next time.
Atticus nodded seriously, his lovely, profound eyes locking with hers as he said, “Don’t worry, Mom. It’s gone for good. No one
can bring it back. It’s impossible to recover.”
“That’s a relief. Time to hack into the computer then.” Thalassa said, snapping back to reality and focusing on Atticus’ tablet
screen.
During her last visit to Bruce’s place, she had covertly memorized the Wi-Fi password and screenshot the network name when
Bruce had logged in.
With the Wi-Fi name and password, Atticus quickly deployed his impressive hacking skills to breach Bruce’s family network.
That day, Thalassa hadn’t had the chance to check which model of computer Bruce used, but there were only two in Bruce’s
villa.
They’d go one by one.
The first computer they accessed was filled with makeup tutorials and fashion vlogs, likely belonging to Susan.
Atticus rifled through the files rapidly, with Thalassa watching over his shoulder. Nothing seemed out of place.
Chapter 1026
Despite his young age, Atticus’ decisiveness was remarkable. “It’s not this one. It’s the other computer. I’ll remotely access that
one right away.”
“Thank you, Atticus. You’re doing great.” Thalassa said. Her brows knitted with concern, and her voice tinged with urgency.
The stakes were high, and she wished she could delete the compromising files from Bruce’s computer in the blink of an eye to
rid herself of the looming threat.
Atticus could sense his mother’s anxiety and didn’t miss a beat. His small fingers flew across the keyboard, and there was one
more program away from accessing Bruce’s computer.
Suddenly, the letters on the screen started to cascade downwards, showing an unexpected glitch.
Thalassa’s breath caught at the sight of the uncontrollable screen. Her pupils dilated as she asked, “What’s happening?”
A tiny bead of sweat trickled down Atticus’ little cheek. He didn’t bother wiping it away. His focus fixed on the screen as his hands
worked to rectify the situation.
“Someone’s manually booted up the computer, so I can’t use remote access from here. But I can hack into Bruce’s family
surveillance to see who’s at the computer.” Atticus explained, his attention never wavering from his task.
Having infiltrated Bruce’s network, Atticus had a clear view of the connected devices two desktops, three surveillance cameras,
and three mobile phones.
–
Although he wasn’t sure where the cameras were positioned, he could hack into them and check their coverage.
With a few rapid keystrokes, the surveillance feeds popped up on the computer screen.
The display split into four, showing different angles. Three feeds were empty, but one showed Bruce sitting in front of a computer,
clicking away with his mouse.
Atticus clicked and enlarged this particular feed.
