The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 1049
The bodyguard, staring at Lysander, saw his eyes went red with fury and sensed the chill of anger seeping into the surrounding
air. The bodyguard froze, eyes dropping in submission, anxious to avoid the wrath.
When Lysander saw Thalassa throw herself in front of Callum, ready to take the hit meant for him, his heart felt like it was
pierced by a shard of ice. Rage ignited from deep within, spreading like wildfire through his veins and threatening to consume
him whole.
“Thalassa, do you even realize what you’re doing?” Lysander’s voice was tight with suppressed anger. His gaze was icy.
Thalassa, realizing the bodyguard had halted and that she was still embracing Callum, quickly let go and turned to face
Lysander. Her breath trembled as she met his furious, crimson stare, tears spilling over. She pleaded, “Please let Callum go. He
was just trying to help me. None of this is his fault. I’ll go back with you.”
Going back meant facing the consequences, enduring his towering rage, submitting to whatever punishment he deemed fit.
Lysander’s eyes fell on her tears, each one like a needle-sharp icicle, stabbing into his heart with a cold, dull ache.

His jaw clenched. His eyes grew colder and more unforgiving than a winter storm.
“Fine!” The word came out heavy and strained. He stepped forward, grabbed Thalassa’s wrist, and pulled her to his side.
Her body slammed against his solid chest. And suddenly, her heart thumped wildly like a red-hot iron in a forge, pulsing with
heat.
His arm, strong and powerful, wrapped around her waist, holding her tight against his abdomen. Even through the fabric,
Thalassa could feel the solid heat of his body.
Her face flushed hot, breath catching, pupils constricting, as if she were a lobster boiled bright red, too scared to move a muscle.
Lysander’s profound eyes held her captive, as bottomless as the night sky. Her heart pound in silent panic.
“Take the kids and Evelyn away!” His command was directed at the bodyguard.

With that, he turned and walked away with Thalassa in tow. The bodyguard hurried to
escort the four children.
“I can walk on my own. I can walk on my own!” Evelyn stammered in panic as the bodyguard approached her, just as intimidating
as Lysander in her eyes.
Lysander led Thalassa onto the plane, followed by the children and Evelyn.
The air was as stiff as ice inside the cabin; the atmosphere was so tense and suffocating. In Lysander’s presence, the pressure
felt crushingly low, stifling any desire to breathe too deeply.
Thalassa hung her head, not daring to let even a sliver of her gaze stray towards Lysander. The plane engines roared to life and
began its ascent.
Then, a scream echoed from the villa’s grand hall. It was Callum’s cry of agony.
Despite the loud whir of the plane, Callum’s pain tore through the noise and pulled at Thalassa’s nerves. She lifted her head in
alarm and anger and glared at Lysander.
“What have you done to him? You promised you wouldn’t hit him again!” Thalassa’s voice was charged with emotion.
Lysander’s cold gaze met hers, a fury smoldering in his eyes. “You’re worried about him?”
Her eyes wavered, her heart skipped a beat. Her voice was tight through gritted teeth as she
spat out, “Lysander, you’re cruel and heartless. Who would ever want to stay by your side?”
After her words, Lysander’s eyes turned to ice, his expression chilling further.
