The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 1101
“No, I wouldn’t dare be upset. I don’t even have the right to be autonomous, let alone get angry. If that’s all, I’m going to hang up
now.”
“Hold on!” The commanding voice of Lysander boomed through the speaker just in time.
Thalassa gripped her phone tighter, knowing better than to just cut the call abruptly. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she
asked, “Is there something else?”
“Where are you? I’ll come get you,” Lysander demanded without room for debate.
“I’m at the Crawley Group, working late,” Thalassa blurted out, intending to mislead him before promptly ending the call.
Ever since the cloud pendant, which contained a hidden tracker and was given to her by Lysander, was melted down, he could
no longer pinpoint her exact location.
Thalassa didn’t want Lysander to come for her she needed some space to think.
And why should every aspect of her life be controlled by him?
After hanging up, she hailed a cab and provided the driver with the address to Star Harbor Villa, eager to spend some time with
her mother.
Whenever she felt utterly down, she yearned for the comfort of her mother’s shoulder to lean on, to be coddled, even if it came
with a soft scolding. It still brought her peace of mind.
At least, she knew she had a mother’s love – the love of someone who truly cared for her.
Love can indeed heal all wounds, especially the love of parents.
With parents, life is a source of solace; without them, only the journey remains.
As long as her mother was with her, she would always be her child, cherished and cared for. If she was gone, all that would be
left was loneliness and the need for bravery.

Therefore, she would do anything in her power to protect Evelyn from any distress or harm, ensuring that no damaging footage
would ever see the light of day.
Before long, Thalassa arrived at Star Harbor Villa. The lights inside were welcoming.
Pushing the door open, she found Evelyn sitting motionless on the sofa, lost in thought and visibly lonely.
Her heart ached at the sight.
“Mom, why are you still up?” Thalassa called out gently.
At the sound of her voice, Evelyn snapped out of her reverie, turning to see her daughter with a sparkle returning to her eyes and
a smile spreading across her face. “Thalassa,

you’re back. I thought you were at the Royal Estates tonight.”
During Thalassa’s hospital stay, Evelyn had been by her side every day. When Thalassa was discharged and wanted to get back
to work, Evelyn didn’t object. She understood her daughter’s lack of security; without a job, there would be no income.
For someone with nothing else to rely on, the loss of income could feel like the sky was falling.
Having waited for Thalassa without her returning, Evelyn had assumed she’d gone to the Royal Estates. But here she was,
home.

“I skipped the Royal Estates today to be with you,” Thalassa said with a smile, settling beside her mother on the sofa. She
wrapped an arm around Evelyn, resting her head in the crook of Evelyn’s arm, playing the part of the doting child.
Evelyn chuckled affectionately. “Look at you, still acting like a little girl.”
“I’ll always be your little girl,” Thalassa replied with a grin.
“That’s for sure. Have you had dinner yet?” Evelyn asked, her voice warm with happiness.
“Not yet. Work ran late, and I’m both tired and hungry,” Thalassa pouted, allowing herself
to be her most authentic self around her mother.
“Starving at this hour? I’ll fix you something,” Evelyn said as she stood and headed to the
kitchen.
Left alone on the sofa, Thalassa fought boredom until her phone buzzed with an incoming
call.
It was Lysander.
She hesitated for a moment before answering.
Lysander’s deep, cool voice came through, tinged with irritation, “The Crawley Group is empty. Where the hell are you?”
Thalassa remained silent, her heart sinking.
Had he actually gone to the Crawley Group to look for her?
