Chapter 1166
Thalassa averted her gaze.
Why would he ask her opinion if the decision wasn’t hers to make?
“I don’t know. That’s for you to decide,” she managed to say; her voice was barely above a whisper.
Lysander’s rough hands gently grasped her chin, lifting her face to meet his. Their noses almost touched, and his masculine and
scorching breath caressed her face.
“So if I decide, what then, hmm?” His deep, resonant voice carried an undertone of danger. “That will be your call,” Thalassa
replied, her heart fluttering wildly from his commanding presence and her breath thickened.
Seeing her lashes quiver and sensing her nervousness, Lysander suddenly let out a low chuckle. His breath tickled her cheek,
causing her heart to skip a beat.
Before she could catch her breath, Lysander’s protruding nose brushed against hers, their breaths mingling. His large hand
cradled the back of her head and drew her into an intimate embrace.
“Not keen on punishing Debby, are you?” his mellow voice was vibrating in Thalassa’s ear.
Her pulse raced, and she gasped for air. “It’s not that...” her voice betrayed her obvious turmoil.
Pleased with her reaction, Lysander pressed a few light kisses on her lips. His voice was husky with tenderness, “Just rest easy
and stop overthinking.”
The rest was up to him.
He would definitely punish Debby!
He received the security chief’s call, saying that Debby had waited for Thalassa on the bus that morning, stalked her throughout
the day, and finally cornered her at Leopold’s graveyard.
Debby had bound Thalassa to Leopold’s tombstone. She doused her in gasoline and threatened to burn her alive and send her
down to join Leopold!
Lysander felt a surge of rage fill his chest.
Debby would pay for her actions!
He continued to shower Thalassa with kisses, from her flushed lips to her cool cheeks,
and down to the delicate skin behind her ears.
He cherished her as if she were a treasured possession, which was long lost and finally

returned. His heart was still palpitating and overbrimming with protective affection.
Thalassa, enveloped in his tender kisses, felt her heart pound and her breath quicken. His hot breath on her skin made her neck
tingle, and she instinctively wrapped her arms around his back.
They hugged and kissed; their affection was as intense as that of long-lost lovers reuniting in a blaze of passion...
Lost in the sudden outpouring of Lysander’s affection, Thalassa’s mind grew hazy with
emotion.
Then there came a sudden knock at the door of the hospital room.
Startled like a frightened deer, Thalassa hastily pushed Lysander away, retreating to the head of the bed and gazing out the
window. Her cheeks were burning with embarrassment.
Lysander’s warmth vanished as she pulled away, his expression darkening. His piercing gaze turned to the door as the
bodyguard entered with lunch, “Come in!”
The bodyguard, looking sheepish and apologetic, carried in the meal and set it on the table before quickly exiting.
He blamed himself for his lack of tact, for not observing the situation within the room before knocking, and for interrupting Mr.
Sinclair and Ms. Everhart in their intimate moment. He felt like he had committed a grave error.
The bodyguard hurried off not just to avoid being a third wheel, but also out of fear of Mr. Sinclair’s displeasure if he acted slowly.
