The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 1265

In the deepest recesses of her heart, Thalassa knew she was regarded as
nothing but despicable.

With this thought heavy on her mind, she pried Lysander’s hands from her waist
and stepped back, her clear eyes shifting from his face to the distance as she
remarked, “I was so furious that I couldn't see straight.”

“Furious? What right do you have to be furious?” Lysander’s piercing gaze locked
onto her, his presence icy and formidable as he scrutinized her.

If anyone had a right to be angry, it was him.

Yet there she was, acting as if she had the bigger temper!

The day Lysander refused to listen to her, convinced she had purposely hurled
the prop at him with lethal intent, Thalassa felt suffocated by frustration.

She had been bottling up her feelings, searching for an outlet. Now faced with
Lysander’s interrogation, she didn’t want to hold back any longer. Turning to meet
his eyes, she voiced the pain in her heart, “I never imagined that, even Susan is
more credible than me in your eyes! Lysander, what am I to you? A ruthless
schemer capable of anything? Or a fickle lover always chasing new thrills?"

If Lysander had even a shred of trust in her, he would never believe she wanted
to kill him.

And he certainly wouldn't suspect her of having secret rendezvous with other
men!

All of these accusations stemmed from one thing. he had already painted her as
such a person in the depths of his heart.

So, he would always assume the worst whenever anything happened.

He never truly trusted her.

Confronted by Thalassa’s challenge, Lysander’s gaze darkened, his deep voice
resonating as he said, “You've tried to escape from me over and over, even
running off to Weston Country with Callum. What am I supposed to think?”

She seemed desperate to flee him at all costs.

It was reasonable for him to suspect that she might even kill him to liberate
herself.

“Why do you think I wanted to escape, don't you know?" Thalassa shot back.
“Know what?” His eyes, reflecting the shimmering surface of the lake, seemed to
emit a forbidding glow, inspiring dread.

Biting her lip, Thalassa felt a tumult of emotions crashing within her, pain so
acute even breathing hurt.

Chapter 1265

After a fierce internal struggle, she decided to reveal the thoughts that had been
gnawing at her for too long.

“If I don’t say it, I'll suffocate,” she thought, then she said, “I can't withstand your
ruthlessness and cruelty! You pushed Leopold to his death, even if he was your
own kin. What am I then? What are the children to you?"

And one point was even more crucial. no matter how long she stayed by his side,
he was never going to marry her. She was doomed to live in constant fear and
anxiety, always feeling insecure.

Zephyr had made it very clear to her once that her status wasn't fit for marriage
to Lysander, and their history was too fraught with animosity.

Grandma Sybil's death wasn't directly her mother’s fault, but she was implicated
nonetheless. Zephyr loathed her and her mother so badly that he would never
allow her into the Sinclair family.

That much was evident when Zephyr forbade her from attending Leopold's
funeral.

And between her and Lysander, there was an unbridgeable chasm.

With clenched fists, Thalassa conveyed her sorrow to Lysander.

His face grew tense, the lines of his jaw more pronounced, his features
hardening with resolve.

Anger steamed from his nostrils as he bit down on his molars, containing the
turmoil inside.

So, she had always believed that he had been the one to drive Leopold to death!
She harbored hatred for him because of that, pretending to be calm while
loathing him. deep inside!

She had never let go of Leopold.

“Since you're aware of what I'm capable of, it would be wise not to test my limits.
Otherwise, I wouldn't mind to help you reunite with Leopold,” Lysander growled,
his grip. tightening on Thalassa’s chin, his eyes trembling with fury.
