Chapter 1311
Ethan and Thalassa arrived at the commercial shoot location soon.
The ad agency representative greeted them with a warm smile, “Mr. Ethan,
welcome. Care for a drink?”
Zane handed Ethan a bottle of mineral water, but conspicuously left Thalassat
empty-handed.
And then there was that look — a glance shot her way, loaded with an
unmistakable
distaste.
Thalassa was baffled, clueless about what she might've done to rub Zane the
wrong way.
Ethan noticed Zane's reactions and, with a knowing smirk, passed his own water
bottle to Thalassa, “Ms. Everhart, you take this.”
Thalassa knew Ethan was trying to avoid awkwardness, nudging Zane to respect
her.
But she needed none of it.
She understood why Zane discriminated against her, his gaze brimming with
rejection because she lacked a pedigree like Ethan's. She was “merely” an
assistant.
In this day and age, snobs were a dime a dozen.
No point in bickering with a snob.
“No need, Mr. Ethan. I'm not thirsty,” Thalassa declined gracefully.
“Okay,” Ethan replied curtly, before tossing the water bottle back to Zane. “Take it
back, then. Your hospitality is a bit too much for me!
Zane was red-faced and flustered, then he took the water back.
Ethan's expression cooled as he strode ahead.
Thalassa hurried up to follow.
“Let's check out the studio. The models should be in there,” Ethan said over his
shoulder to
Thalassa.
“Sure,” she acknowledged.
Stepping into the studio, they were greeted with a palpable tension. This sort of
commanding presence wasn't something just anyone could muster.
It was all too familiar to Thalassa. Instinctively tensing, she was now facing a tall,
striking figure, a man of undeniable handsomeness.
It was Lysander, again.

He stood by the backdrop, observing the hole on it.
Above the backdrop, ropes from the rigging were being lowered right where
Lysander
stood.
David's voice came from behind the canvas, “Mr. Sinclair, this rigging was tricky
to angle, and you can’t really see the scene outside through that hole.”
Hearing this, Thalassa's heart skipped a beat, instantly realizing that David was
recreating the scenario when she was doing the rigging.
Lysander was assessing the angle, determining which direction was best suited
for an
accident.
Confronted with this scene and hearing David's words, Thalassa felt her heart
sink.
“Lysander, you're here too!” Ethan exclaimed, hopping onto the set and making a
beeline for Lysander.
“Lysander, are you here for a business meeting?” Ethan casually bantered, as
though they were old pals.

“Okay,” Lysander grunted, his gaze shifting back to Thalassa standing off the
platform.
Feeling his eyes on her, Thalassa quickly looked away, unwilling to meet his
