Chapter 1363
Lysander glanced skyward, a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins as
he spotted
a hélicopter slicing through the air, hurtling toward the Thalassa family estate at
breakneck speed.
Years of training had honed his instincts to a razor’s edge, and every fiber of his
being screamed danger.
With a face set in grim determination, he yelled into the house, “Thalassa, grab
Astrid and get out here-now!”
Barely pausing for breath, Lysander bolted inside, his features taut with the
urgency of impending battle.
Inside, Thalassa was shucking corn with Astrid, oblivious to the threat. At the
sound of Lysander’s commanding voice, she mistook it for another of his
domineering tactics, the kind he used to make her bend to his will.
She didn’t move, her mind stubbornly rehearsing her newfound independence.
She had finally cut ties with Lysander and was determined not to be under his
thumb ever again.
But in the next heartbeat, Lysander’s towering figure stormed in, grabbed
Thalassa’s hand, and dragged her toward the door.
“Boom!”
Before they had taken two steps, a bomb hurtled from the distance, striking the
Thalassa estate with deadly precision.
The villa erupted in an explosion, bricks and debris flying, walls collapsing in a
cloud of dust and destruction.
“Ah!” Astrid's scream tore through the chaos, a sound of pure terror.
“Auntie!” Thalassa cried out, her mind reeling from the blast. The world seemed
around her, paralyzing her with shock.
But Astrid’s screams cut through her haze of disbelief, filling her with a
desperate,
SOITOW.
As Astrid’s cries pierced the air, Thalassa’s body moved on instinct, her legs
carrying back toward the house, back to rescue her aunt.
Just as she turned to run back inside, the wall beside her gave way with a
thunderous
crash.
“Thalassa!” In the nick of time, Lysander leaped forward, shielding her with his
body, bot of them tumbling to the ground.
And then, with another deafening “boom,” the wall collapsed on top of Lysander.

“Ugh!” Lysander grunted, the full weight of the wall bearing down on him, a
muffled groan escaping his lips.
Beneath him, Thalassa was trapped, but Lysander’s elbows propped up, his body
forming a protective cocoon around her. Despite the debris raining down on his
back, lacerating his flesh and grinding his bones, his arms remained unyielding,
never once faltering in their support.
As dust filled the air and the earth seemed to split open, Thalassa heard
Lysander’s pained voice amid the roar of the collapse.
