Chapter 1369
"Oh, what am I to do? What am I to do?"
In a moment of desperate ingenuity, Thalassa grabbed the doctor's arm, her voice urgent, "Please, can you check if any of the doctors or nurses here have AB-positive blood? I'll
my husband!" pay handsomely-50 million dollars to whoever can donate their blood for
That sum represented Thalassa's entire life savings. The 50 million dollars had come from the payout for her cloud pendant necklace, a gift from Lysander that had to be melted down from the boutique.
She was ready to gamble all her possessions against the reaper's clock for a chance to save Lysander.
The doctor, clearly troubled by the request, still instructed the nurse, "Go, see what you can do..."
"Right away," the nurse replied, hurrying off.
Just then, at the end of the emergency room corridor, four little cherubs suddenly appeared, bouncing toward Thalassa like little beach balls.
"Mommy!"
The kids, with their tiny legs, raced towards Thalassa as fast as they could.
Already on the verge of a breakdown, Thalassa's heart was heavy with worry. Seeing her children, her heart clenched with pain, and tears gushed forth like a torrential downpour.
The kids gathered around her feet, their little rosy cheeks tilted up.
"Mommy, take my blood. It can save Daddy!" Atticus rolled up his sleeve to show his slender, pale little arm, ready for the needle.
"I can give blood, too; I have lots! However much Daddy needs," Dorian chimed in, his innocent eyes brimming with tears.
"I'm a bit plump; I have more blood, and I'm not scared of the pain. Take mine!" Elowen, usually squeamish about pain, offered her chubby little arm, her youthful eyes filled with determination.
"Use mine. Mosquitoes love my blood; Daddy will surely like it too," Sophia said, tilting her head up, her short hair giving her a cool yet cute demeanor. Usually timid, she was incredibly brave now.
The children's innocent words echoed in Thalassa's ears, transforming her despair into hope, like beams of light piercing the darkness of a room, filling it with brightness.
Isabella arrived shortly after, panting as she spoke to Thalassa, "The kids overheard me on the phone and insisted on coming. They said they all have AB- positive blood and

could donate to Lysander. I thought instead of going from house to house in the village, wasting time when some might not even know their blood type, I'd bring the kids straight here."
Thalassa wiped away her tears and turned to the doctor, "Can the children donate blood? Will it harm them in any way?"
"It's safe as long as we don't take too much," the doctor assured.
"Doc, take mine!" Atticus stepped forward, extending his little arm, his eyes
earnest.
"Take mine!" Dorian pushed forward, his cheeks flushed with resolve.
"I have more blood, take mine!" Elowen, too, pressed closer.
"And mine!" Sophia walked right up to the doctor's side.
