The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 247
I refuse” Leopold’s smiling face hardened, his gern–like eyes zeroing in on her the longing of five years manifest in their sparkle
“Thalassa, give me another shot Five years ago, I was framed. I’ve reflected on my mistakes so many times since then”
His voice was thick with emotion as he spoke, his eyes brimming with love and remorse for Thalassa
Her heart ached at his words, as if a knife was cutting through it. It felt as though the burden in her heart had just gotten heavier,
making her difficult to even breathe
She took a deep breath, trying to rid herself of the weight, but it was to no avail.
Leopold, I forgave you a long time ago. Her words brought a spark of joy to Leopold’s eyes
But then she added. “But the past remained in the past. We can never be together again.” With that, she turned to leave
The chasm between them wasn’t just about the betrayal five years ago. She had given birth to Lysander’s four children. She
went in
mother now
There was no going back.
Knowing that there was no future for her and Leopold, she decided to cut the ties once and for all, leaving no room for hope
Leopold hurried after her. “Thalassa, why? Haven’t I done enough?”
“No, it’s not you. It’s me.” Thalassa stopped, her back to him. “Stop beating a dead horse, because it’s useless.”
Leopold was about to say something when he noticed a love mark on her neck.
Although she was wearing a collared suit, her high ponytail revealed her neck. The red mark stood out on her skin.
He saw it right away
Leopold’s breath hitched, his voice trembling slightly. “Do you have a boyfriend now?”
“Yes” Thalassa closed her eyes to suppress her pain. Then she walked out of the office.

She went to the restroom and washed her face with cold water, trying to cool down her emotions.
After a while, her pain subsided.
Looking at her reflection in the mirror, she was a mess, but she was calm.
It was fine.
Suddenly, she noticed the love mark on the side of her neck in the mirror
She leaned closer to the mirror and found it was a bite mark.
The one Lysander left yesterday!
Did Leopold see the mark on her neck?
Well, never mind. It was better this way. It would make him give up completely and stop wasting time on her.
The problem now was that Leopold wouldn’t let her quit, and she didn’t have 20,000 dollars to pay for a breach of contract.
Twenty thousand dollars was a lot for her. How could she afford it?
She would have to let things take their course.
In the afternoon, there was a meeting Thalassa needed to prepare for.
Thalassa had to get the conference room ready.
As a secretary, she had to accompany the attendants during the meeting and be in charge of the projector
The senior leaders of the company were already in place. Leopold came in last, his head down, his eyes filled with loss.
Thalassa didn’t dare look at Leopold. As soon as he came in, she went to the door of the conference room, ready to close it.
A tall man with a powerful aura walked to the door.
His presence made the air oppressive.
Thalassa was closing the door when it almost hit his nose.

Seeing who it was, Thalassa felt her hand starting to tremble.
The sprung door, which was about to close, bounced back because of her trembling hand.
A pair of long hands quickly grabbed the door frame. The man’s deep and sharp eyes shot straight at Thalassa.
