The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 681
Thalassa eased her grip so Bruce dropped a few feet.
“No, don’t let go!” Bruce shrieked, his voice echoing in the open air.
Thalassa glanced at him, noticing a dark patch spreading across his trousers. Astonishment crossed her face.
He’d actually wet himself! He must really be terrified.
Had he ever considered how pitiful they were when he was conning them?
Now Bruce himself was scared to the point of wetting his pants. It served him right!
Thalassa held onto the rope and kept an icy voice, “Get your phone out now. Either transfer the money to me or call your wife to
do it! This is your last chance! Otherwise, I’ll just let go. 13 million dollars in exchange for your life doesn’t seem like a good deal,
but if you won’t comply, I’d rather take the loss!”
“Please, don’t let go. I’ll transfer it to you right now...” Bruce’s voice trembled. The deep valley below and the sharp cliff face
opposite were terrifying.
He could only rely on Thalassa to lower him down safely. Otherwise, he would be a goner.
He wasn’t ready to die yet.
He forgot all about his appearances at the moment. Life was the most important thing. Even if he was embarrassed, he couldn’t
care less.
He pulled out his phone from his pocket with his shaky hands.
Thalassa warned, “You better hold on tight. Don’t let yourself and your phone drop together.”
Bruce gripped his phone tighter at her words, afraid of any mishap.
He carefully opened his banking app.
From her position, Thalassa could see his phone screen. She saw him navigate to the transfer page so she promptly gave him
her account number.

Bruce entered her account number but hesitated once more before confirming the transaction. He looked at Thalassa, “What if I
transfer the money and you still let me go?”
“You’re such an idiot. If you transfer the money, the police will trace the transaction. If you die right after transferring me the
money, they’ll have reason to suspect me of killing you for money, Thalassa retorted.
Bruce nodded and was relieved by her reasoning.
Without wasting another moment, he transferred the 13 million dollars to Thalassa.
“Okay, it’s done. Please lower me down now,” Bruce pleaded. Every second he was left dangling increased his risk.
He didn’t want to hang there a second longer.
“Calm down,” Thalassa responded, pulling out her phone to check a text message from her bank to make sure that she had
received the money for real.
That put her at ease.
“To be honest, I don’t have the strength to lower you down. I’ll tie the rope to this handrail, and then go find someone strong
enough to help, Thalassa explained, pulling out a piece of hemp rope from her pocket and winding it around the handrail,
securing it so it wouldn’t slip.
She tied the other end of the rope to a nearby tree.
Bruce’s face turned green with a mix of rage and fear as he watched the set of acts done by Thalassa, “Thalassa, please don’t
do this. Lower me down, or pull me up. I’m begging you, Thalassa...”
