The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 779
David acknowledged and took the lead.
Thalassa’s eyes widened with a mix of shock and realization as she looked at Lysander.
That’s right. Her necklace had a GPS tracker. Just because she couldn’t find it, didn’t mean Lysander couldn’t.
In her panic, fearing Lysander’s wrath for losing the necklace, she had completely forgotten about the tracker. Lysander could
easily locate the necklace.
“It’s just a missing necklace. There’s no need to hide it from me. I’m not going to eat you alive,” Lysander said as he shifted his
gaze to
her.
Thalassa quickly replied, “I understand.”
But inside, she was grumbling, ‘If anyone’s going to ‘eat me alive’, it would be you! Every time you lose your temper, it’s hell for
me.’
“Have you been avoiding me by not going to the Royal Estates these past few days?” Lysander asked, lifting her chin with his
index finger to face him.
If he wasn’t seeking her out, she’d probably keep hiding.
Did she really think hiding would solve everything?
Thalassa hesitated before explaining, “Not at all. My mom hasn’t been well lately. I went home to comfort her. I miss our kids and
want to visit the Royal Estates, but I can’t ignore my mom.”
Thalassa’s absence from the Royal Estates was partly to avoid Lysander and to allow her worn-out body to recover. Plus, her
work schedule had been hectic that week so she simply didn’t have the energy to deal with Lysander.
But another part of it was truly about accompanying and comforting her mother, Evelyn.

Last time, she had accidentally injured Bruce’s head. Bruce’s wife, who was caring for him in the hospital, somehow found out
about Bruce’s relationship with Evelyn.
Bruce’s wife had confronted Evelyn several times, hurling insults at her. It took a call to the police to resolve the situation.
As Lysander stared into her clear eyes. Her gaze was a bit rattled but honest. She wasn’t lying.
Lysander tilted her chin upwards, leaning down to plant a kiss on her lips.
She felt taut and stiffened as his warm, strong breath brushed against her face.
But Lysander only kissed her once before pulling away. But they still remained close and mingled their breaths.
His thumb traced her soft lips gently as his low voice rang out, “When you’re with me, you don’t need to be on edge all the time.”
His rough finger caused a tingling sensation on her lips. That felt like an electric current flowing through Thalassa’s heart.
Thalassa’s heart fluttered. Her eyelashes quivered and her breathing was unsteady, “Since you’ve said it, I get it. I’ll stop being
nervous.” Not that saying it would make her any less nervous. Lysander’s aura, his intimidating presence and his regal
demeanor... everything about him made the air seem to stagnate. It was hard not to be tense around him.
But if Lysander said so, she would, of course, agree.
From her time spent with him, Thalassa had learned to go along with Lysander’s wishes to avoid trouble.
If she defied him, not only would she fail to achieve her goal, but she would also make things worse for herself.
Thalassa had learned to appease and yield to Lysander so as to see her kids at any time and win herself temporary freedom.
Thalassa’s compliance pleased Lysander. Her sweet scent that was in his reach and her soft, rosy lips in his hand were both
stirring his desires.
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he kissed her lips again.
Thalassa’s pupils dilated; her heart pounded faster and she dared not move.
Oh God, David was still driving while Lysander was kissing her so openly. What if he wanted to do more to her?

Thalassa clutched Lysander’s shirt; her eyelashes were trembling. She didn’t dare to let her thoughts go deeper. Just as
Thalassa was at her most nervous, the car, which had been moving, suddenly stopped.
