The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 818
While Thalassa was nervous, Evelyn looked flustered as they exchanged quick glances.
Lysander was investigating her past with Bruce and had no qualms about sharing what he found with her and Thalassa. What
was he trying to imply?
Evelyn thought back to what Thalassa had told her earlier. If Lysander kept believing Thalassa was Bruce’s daughter, he would
let her go once the novelty wore off.
Otherwise, he would make Thalassa his lifelong mistress!
Since Thalassa could not marry Lysander, Evelyn hoped that Thalassa could find her happiness and marry someone else.
Being Lysander’s mistress for a lifetime was just too heartbreaking!
Evelyn was afraid Lysander had discovered something. Before David could continue, she hurriedly said, “Bruce has an O blood
type, and my daughter Thalassa and I are both B. Of course, she couldn’t give Bruce a blood transfusion.”
With her words out, Evelyn felt uneasy. She could hardly breathe due to the tension. She had no idea whether Lysander had
looked into her blood type.
Lysander placed a cigarette between his lips, his gaze shifting towards Thalassa.
Thalassa’s heart skipped a beat under his deep gaze. She quickly said, “Yes, I’m B-type. The nurse told me I couldn’t give a
transfusion.”
It was indeed the case at the time. After learning her mother was O-type blood, she started doubting that Bruce was not her
father, prompting her to ask her mother about it.
If Lysander only knew her blood type was different from Bruce’s, he probably would not suspect she was not Bruce’s daughter.
After all, everyone was taught in school that a child born to a person with O-type blood would have the other parent’s blood type
or O-type.
“Why are you both so nervous? David is just stating the facts,” Lysander asked in his low voice.

Evelyn’s heart skipped a beat. She had always lived in the countryside and never faced a man as imposing, distinguished, and
intimidating as Lysander.
Hearing Lysander ask them what they were nervous about, she instantly lost her composure and panicked, which showed on her
face. She was close to letting the cat out of the bag.
Thalassa was also on edge. However, she was more experienced in dealing with Lysander. She quickly responded, “David just
said it was strange. We were explaining why it wasn’t.”
Evelyn caught on and nodded, adding, “Right, we were just saying it was not strange.”
Their conversation was on speaker, and David heard it all. He had not realized Lysander was with Thalassa and Evelyn.
David, who was always aware of the situation, said, “Thank you for clarifying. I understand now. It’s not strange.”

With that, David continued reporting, “Thalassa took Bruce to the hospital for treatment. When Bruce’s wife arrived, Thalassa left
the hospital. Neither Thalassa nor Evelyn have visited Bruce since. Instead, Bruce’s wife and daughter have been pestering
Evelyn after learning about her.”
“Understood,” Lysander said, hanging up the call.
He had a cigarette between his lips but still had not lit it. After ending the call, he stood up and headed out, saying, “I’ll wait for
you in the car.
With that, he left Thalassa’s place.
As soon as he stepped out, Thalassa heard the flick of a lighter. Lysander was lighting his cigarette.
He even remembered to smoke away from the kids. He really did care about them.
“What does he mean, Thalassa? Are you and the kids leaving?” Evelyn asked, her elated expression faltering.
“Yes, he told me earlier to take the kids to Royal Estates. I suggested they stay a bit longer,” Thalassa told the truth.
