Chapter 850
Thalassa knew who had just entered the room without looking.
The air suddenly grew tense; even Thalassa’s breath hitched. Instead of turning around, she hugged little Elowen tighter, her
cheek resting against the child’s soft face as if seeking a slight tinge of warmth from her small body.
The weight on the bed shifted as a masculine presence drew closer, his breath fanning against Thalassa’s face and his sturdy
chest pressing against her
back.
Thalassa stiffened. Before she could react, her chin was lifted and she found herself staring into Lysander’s deep, handsome
face.

“How disappointed our little one must be when you ignore her questions?” he asked. His low voice was reverberating in the quiet
room and picking Thalassa’s nerves.
“Daddy, you’re here! Are you here to sleep with us?” Elowen lifted her head from Thalassa’s shoulder, her sparkling eyes filled
with anticipation as she looked at Lysander expectantly.
Lysander’s oceanic eyes fixated on Elowen, and then back at Thalassa as he said, “Did you hear that? Elowen is waiting for your
response.”
Thalassa fell silent.
Elowen had stopped asking about sleeping together until he walked in.
So, who was really waiting for her answer? Him or Elowen?
Thalassa knew if she didn’t answer, Lysander wouldn’t let it go. Plus, she didn’t want to upset Elowen.
Avoiding Lysander’s gaze and his hand on her chin, she looked away, “Of course we can sleep together.”
“Yay! Hop in, Daddy,” Elowen said as she looked up and climbed out of Thalassa’s arms. She dragged Lysander’s arm like a little
adult, encouraging him to join them.
“Elowen, your dad needs to take a shower; he can’t... Thalassa started, worried that Lysander would be upset.
Before she could finish her sentence, Lysander removed his shoes and climbed into the bed.
Thalassa was taken aback.
Wasn’t he a clean freak? Why he got into bed without showering or changing his clothes?
“Cover up, Daddy,” Elowen said as she pulled the quilt over Lysander and Thalassa.
Once she was done, she snuggled back against Thalassa, allowing her mother to wrap her arms around her tiny frame.
Seeing Thalassa’s arms around her, Elowen turned to Lysander and said sweetly, “Daddy, hug Mommy like she’s hugging me.
That way, she won’t be scared.
Thalassa was startled. Was Elowen pushing her into the lion’s den?
“I don’t need...”
She was already enveloped in a broad, solid embrace just as she opened her mouth.
His arms were strong and his sturdy chest was exuding a sense of security. Through the fabric of his clothes, she could feel the
warmth radiating from him.
Thalassa stiffened, her eyes wide open.
“Sleep, Lysander’s husky voice ran as he lay down and had his arms around her entire body, his legs even draped over hers.
His gentle movement were enveloping her completely.
Thalassa felt like a chrysalis wrapped in a silken cocoon, which protected her like a hard shell.
His actions were swift, leaving her no chance to resist. By the time she gathered her wits, she was already snuggled against him.
She tried to move but couldn’t. His breath, warm and steady, tickled the sensitive skin behind her ear, causing her nerves to
tingle.
With a shaky breath, Thalassa said, “Lysander, let me go.”
“Mommy, don’t make Daddy let go. If he does, we’ll be struck by lightning,” Elowen’s soft voice, filled with fear and protest,
whined. As she spoke, she burrowed further into Thalassa’s arms, causing Thalassa’s heart to flutter with affection and
helplessness. “Did you hear that? I’m doing this for your safety,” Lysander’s low voice resounded in Thalassa’s ear.
