The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 887
Charlotte was eager to see Thalassa fall. She did that to push her out of the picture and claim her spot beside Lysander. Amelia
was hell-bent on sabotaging Thalassa as well, but Richard couldn’t figure out her true intentions for now.
Although Richard had his suspicions, he didn’t voice them out loud. He was wishing to preserve some dignity for Charlotte.
Charlotte found herself frequently praised by Richard so her heart fluttered at his words. She blinked and gazed at his serious
eyes.
Surprised, she widened her eyes and asked curiously, “Richard, you’re not... falling for me, are you?”
Richard’s eyes flickered, a hint of panic flashing across them before quickly disappearing. It indicated the panic of someone
whose thoughts had been correctly guessed.
He quickly regained his composure. He said as he hid the panic in his eyes, “That’s such a straightforward question. Nobody’s
ever asked this question so bluntly.”
As he spoke, his gaze shifted past Charlotte to avoid direct eye contact; he didn’t answer her question.
“I’ve always been so straightforward. I like Lysander, I want to be his girl, and I don’t hide my intentions. Are you really into me
since you care about me so much?” Charlotte raised an eyebrow, looking at Richard with suspicion.
Richard touched his nose, still looking away, “It’s getting late, let me take you home.”
“No way, Nose Cannon. Are you really into me?” Charlotte asked in disbelief. Her big eyes went wide as she stared at Richard.
Back when they were in first grade, Charlotte and Richard shared a desk. Richard had a habit of having a runny nose. One day,
a bubble of snot was formed when he sneezed.
Charlotte, who was sitting right next to him, saw this. She laughed and gave Richard a nickname, “Nose Cannon.”
This nickname stuck until they graduated from elementary school. As they grew up and became more mature, they realized that
“Nose Cannon” was a disrespectful nickname.
So Charlotte stopped calling him that.
Now, to her surprise, Charlotte blurted out the nickname without considering Richard’s feelings, reminding him of the
embarrassing moments of his past.

Upon hearing the nickname, Richard’s face immediately changed. He remembered the times that his nose bubbled up as he
sneezed. Charlotte would laugh and point at him. In his embarrassment, he would cover his nose, which only made his situation
worse.
“Charlotte, don’t call me by that nickname!” Richard said, looking uncomfortable.
“I didn’t mean to, don’t be mad. I won’t call you that if you don’t like it.” Charlotte saw his reaction and softened her tone.
Suddenly bringing up a shameful nickname from the past was indeed inappropriate.
“It’s not just for now, but also for the future. Don’t ever call me by that nickname again, got it?” Richard, his face slightly red from
the embarrassment, told Charlotte.
“I got it, I got it. Where’s your car? Weren’t you going to drive me home?” Charlotte quickly nodded as she saw Richard, a grown
man, blush from embarrassment.
Charlotte thought her own embarrassment and anger were insignificant compared to his.
“Over there, let’s go.” Richard, having calmed down a bit, pointed to a spot not far from them and led the way to his car.
