Chapter 899
“That’s it,” Thalassa said.
Before she could react, the call had ended.
Thalassa pulled the phone from her ear, wiping the sweat from her brow.
Only heaven knows the amount of courage and mental fortitude it took for her to call Lysander and say those words.
Her heart had nearly leapt from her chest as she placed the call.
She hadn’t found a house yet, and she wasn’t taking Evelyn to see one tonight. Instead, she was heading to Fortune Restaurant
to meet Callum.
Callum had said he wanted to discuss something about Leopold with her.
That statement had been gnawing at her mind, curiosity bubbling within her as she wondered what Callum wanted to say.
She couldn’t let Lysander know about the meeting with Callum, or else he’d blow his top.
So, she had no choice but to use house hunting as an excuse.
She was terrified that if Lysander asked too many questions, she’d slip up and reveal what was really going on.
Fortunately, Lysander didn’t ask anything.
At eight o’clock sharp, Thalassa arrived at Fortune Restaurant.
As soon as she stepped in, a waiter greeted her, politely asking, “How many in your party, miss?”
“I am meeting someone named Callum Gordon.” Thalassa started, but the waiter gestured for her to follow him before she could
finish.
Surprised, Thalassa followed him to a private dining room, where Callum was already seated, sipping water.
Callum looked up as Thalassa entered, a warm and friendly smile on his face.
Once Thalassa was inside, the waiter closed the door behind her.
Feeling a little tense, she glanced back at the closed door but, unable to resist her curiosity, she approached Callum, asking, “Mr.
Gordon, seemed quite sure I would come, didn’t you?”
“Please, sit,” Callum responded, setting his tea down and gesturing to the seat across from him.
Thalassa took a seat without hesitation.
Callum retrieved a black briefcase from behind him, a playful smile on his lips as he said, “To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure
you’d come, but I’d invited you, so I waited.”
“What did you want to discuss about Leopold?” Thalassa asked directly, not wanting to waste any more time.
Callum pulled out a document and a key from his briefcase, sliding them across the table towards her, “Central Ring Villa, do you
remember? The billion-dollar property is yours.”
Central Ring Villa?
Thalassa was taken aback. She glanced at Callum, then at the document. It was the contract for the billion-dollar villa in Central
Ring.
The name on the contract was hers!
She had sold the villa already, hadn’t she? She had even received the money.
The villa was bought by Bruce after he swindled Evelyn out of her money. Thalassa had tricked Bruce into putting the property in
her name in order to recoup the money!
Afterwards, she sold the villa and returned the money to Lysander
Why was the villa still in her name?/
A suspicion was growing in her mind. She looked at Callum, her eyes wide with shock and confusion, “Why is the property still in
my name?*
“You’re smart, so you should have guessed by now,” Callum said.
