The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 906
Just hearing those words, Thalassa could vividly paint the picture of Evelyn’s despair and misery in her mind.
Bruce was an absolute monster!
“Alright, there’s a pharmacy right at the entrance of the neighborhood. I’ll be right back,” Thalassa said, her heart boiling with
rage against Bruce, though she managed a calm and gentle demeanor for Evelyn.
Evelyn had barely managed to chase away the thoughts of ending it all. She couldn’t bring up Bruce again for fear of unsettling
her.
Once Thalassa saw Evelyn nod, she stepped out the door.

As Thalassa left, the forced calm on Evelyn’s face crumbled, and she let out a heavy sigh of relief. In that moment of utter shame
and hopelessness, Evelyn had nearly given in to despair.
But the second she woke up to Thalassa’s panicked, tear-streaked face, regret washed over her. She shouldn’t have even
thought about suicide. The one who deserved to die was Bruce, not her.
If she died, the only people who would hurt were Thalassa and her four little grandchildren. Bruce wouldn’t be affected at all.
So, she absolutely couldn’t die! She couldn’t let Bruce off the hook and let him continue living scot-free!
Thalassa quickly bought the medicine from the pharmacy and hurried home, worried sick that Evelyn might do something foolish
again.
Thankfully, Evelyn was in the shower.
Hearing the sound of the shower and seeing Evelyn’s silhouette through the frosted glass, Thalassa finally felt a wave of relief
wash over her.
Her gaze dropped to her neck where she usually wore a cloud diamond necklace, now conspicuously absent.

She had called Lysander, telling him she’d go back to stay with Evelyn, and had left the necklace back at the Vibrant Oasis
Residences.
The necklace had a tracking device, and Thalassa wasn’t foolish enough to wear it when she met with Callum.
After the ordeal at the Vibrant Oasis Residences, she’d rushed out with Evelyn, completely forgetting about the necklace.
It was still there, on the shoe cabinet in the foyer.
What should she do? Go back for it?
After a moment of thought, she decided against it.
Thalassa couldn’t leave Evelyn alone right now. What if she did something rash in her absence? She had been lucky to save her
mother’s life once, but she might not be so fortunate a second time.
Thalassa was terrified of losing her family.
At Royal Estates, after Lysander had tucked the kids into bed, he retreated to his study to take care of some work.
The bodyguard he had assigned to follow Thalassa reported back.
Thalassa had told Lysander she’d be spending the day with Evelyn, even going house hunting with her. But Lysander saw that
the tracker in the necklace had stayed put at the Vibrant Oasis Residences without budging an inch.
Something was off.
He had sent a bodyguard to tail Thalassa, wanting to know what she was really up to, and why she lied to him.
“Mr. Sinclair, Ms. Everhart went to Fortune Restaurant around 8 PM and entered a private booth. A few minutes after, Mr. Callum
left the restaurant. Shortly after, Ms. Everhart also departed, clutching some papers and appearing quite distressed, as if
something unpleasant had occurred. Afterward, she returned to Vibrant Oasis Residences for half an hour, then hastily left with
her mother for Central Ring Villa, settling into a villa there. A few minutes later, Ms. Everhart went to a pharmacy and bought a
pack of birth control pills.”
The bodyguard, devoid of any personal emotion, relayed all of Thalassa’s evening whereabouts to Lysander.

He couldn’t enter the private booth or surveil it, so he could only state the fact that Thalassa had been there.
