The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet (Thalassa and Elowen)

Chapter 1002
Thalassa’s heart clenched, and she snapped back to reality. She shook her head and said, “No. Nothing.”
“Nothing?” Callum was puzzled at whether it meant she wanted to leave or not.
That night outside the bar, he had made it crystal clear to her, and she intended to leave Lysander. Leopold had risked his life for
her; and she wouldn’t let him down.
I’ve got one last important thing to do.” Thalassa said softly, with genuine seriousness. “Once that’s done, I’ll focus on planning to
get the kids and myself out of here.”
The trauma that Lysander cast over her the previous night was no less daunting than that of the brigand who kidnapped her.
Lysander was a devil, and she needed to get away from him as soon as possible.
Only by leaving could she have a life of her own.
Callum nodded at the definitive answer. “May I have your phone? I’ll give you my number. Call me anytime you need.”
Without hesitation, Thalassa handed over her phone.
Callum dialed his number and made a call; his own phone rang in response.
Now, they both had each other’s contact information.
After returning the phone to Thalassa, Callum stood and got ready to leave.
“How come you were at the hotel yesterday?” Thalassa suddenly asked.
Their encounters had been too coincidental. It seemed he was there every time when she was in trouble.
Were they all coincidences?
Callum paused mid-step, turned back, and looked at Thalassa, who continued eating casually as if the question she had just
asked was nothing out of the ordinary.
“I was visiting a friend. Just happened to pass by and saw what was happening. Callum said.

“You can’t even tell me the truth. How am I supposed to trust you?” Thalassa spoke as she ate. Her tone was flat as if she was
discussing something as trivial as the weather. But no, she was talking about the crucial topic of trust – the foundation of human
relationships.
Callum, who had been about to leave, stopped, his expression turning grave. He circled back and took the seat opposite to her
once again.
She kept eating, not even lifting her gaze to meet his.
Her demeanor made clear her determination to gain trust.
If he couldn’t earn her trust, she wouldn’t seek his help.
After a moment, Callum decided to be honest.
“I was investigating that hotel and happened to stumble upon your kidnapping.”
Only then did Thalassa lift her eyes. Her gaze was filled with confusion. “Investigating? Aren’t you a businessman?”
“I’m a businessman, but I also work as an investigative journalist. It’s mostly underground, so not many people know that. With
that kind of profile, I’d have a lot of enemies if the wrong people found out.” Callum confessed, hoping to gain Thalassa’s trust by
revealing his hidden identity.
Thalassa was taken aback, her mouth slightly agape, staring at him in surprise.
He looked so refined and privileged; she would never have guessed he led such a meaningful and risky existence.
Investigating the dark underbelly of society and reporting on it would put anyone in immense pressure and danger.
“You don’t believe me?” Callum asked, noting her shocked expression.
Thalassa hastily swallowed her food and shook her head, saying, “No, it’s not that. I’m just surprised. I never guessed you had
this side to you “Aren’t you going to ask what found out?” Callum prompted.
Thalassa frowned but stayed silent.

“Elliott and Bruce have been conspiring. They’ve victimized many women at that hotel. The hotel manager knows all about it but
turns a blind eye for the sake of business, even condoning Elliott and Bruce’s actions. I haven’t found hard evidence yet, but I did
manage to get a recording of the hotel manager’s confession. Callum revealed.
