The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 1022
“I just snapped a few pictures with them and shook their hands. After that, they extended an open invitation for me to visit the set
anytime,” Lillian mumbled.
At that moment, the director, who was standing nearby, quickly approached, accompanied by the two lead actors. They
introduced themselves and said with a smile, “We’re honored that Ms. Quinn and Mrs. Youngblood enjoy our TV series. We’ll
work even harder to make the second season even better!” The film crew was pleasantly surprised to have earned the favor of
both Lillian and Rosalie.
As it meant that in case they encountered any challenges during future filming, the two of them might be able to lend a hand.
Building additional connections was always a valuable prospect.
“You’re both welcome to drop by anytime as well. If you’d like a more detailed shooting schedule, I can provide one for you,” the
director said.
“A more detailed schedule?” Lillian’s eyes lit up.
“Yes, indeed, indeed...” Halfway through his words, the director abruptly halted as Callum shot him a piercing look filled with a
sense of warning.
“All right, it’s almost noon now. Let’s go grab some lunch,” Callum suggested.
“Oh, in that case, I’ll use the restroom first,” Lillian said.
“I’ll go with Lillian,” Rosalie added. Her concern was evident, especially given Lillian’s noticeable baby bump. She didn’t want her
to go alone.
The two of them reached the entrance of the café’s restroom, where voices from inside could be heard discussing something.
“That Lillian, what’s she got to be so proud of? Just because she’s pregnant doesn’t make her part of the White family!”
“Exactly, just because she’s pregnant, does she really think she’s entitled to be the wife of the head of the White family? Back
then, Callum only mentioned her child as the future heir to the White family, but he never said she would become his wife!”
“I’m sure the White family is looking down on her because of her humble background. That’s probably why Callum didn’t plan to
marry her. Women like her are just tools for prominent families to produce heirs.”

Rosalie couldn’t help but furrow her brow when she noticed Lillian’s body tensing beside her.
“Lillian!” Rosalie exclaimed.
Lillian turned to Rosalie with a faint smile. “I’m fine.”
Meanwhile, two women emerged from the restroom, seemingly aware of the voices outside. Their expressions visibly changed
when they saw Lillian and Rosalie, and they stammered out an apology. “Sorry... W-We were just having a casual conversation.”
They were just minor actors on the film crew. Though they held jealousy and disdain for someone like Lillian, who seemed to
have used her pregnancy to secure a better position, they lacked the courage to express it to her face. And once they were
caught, they were terrified that Lillian might report them to Callum.
Lillian grinned. “I had no idea you’d be so interested in whether a woman like me would marry my boyfriend. He hasn’t found any
faults with me, but it seems like you’ve found plenty.”
The two women paled even further.
Hi te your
Lillian lifted her chin with confidence and said, “Whether Callum and I decide to marry is not something for you to worry about.
Reality might hit you hard when we do tie the knot!”
The two women left in disgrace. Lillian turned to Rosalie and noticed the concern etched on her face. “Don’t worry about me. I’m
aware of the love between Callum and me. I have absolute confidence in our future together!”
Rosalie was relieved by Lillian’s confident smile and let out a sigh. “I was afraid those hurtful words might affect you. But
speaking of which, have you and Callum ever talked about marriage?”
“We haven’t talked about it, but...” Lillian smiled and went on, “I know that Callum has only ever loved

1. He hasn’t loved anyone else. To be honest, I don’t really mind when we get married. I just want us to keep loving each other
like this.”

“But...”
“Plus, I’m sporting this baby bump right now, so it’s not the right time for a wedding, is it? Should I have a wedding banquet with
a big belly? I want to look stunning in a wedding dress in the future!” Lillian joked, and Rosalie didn’t push the matter further.
For lunch, the four of them found a nearby restaurant and reserved a private room to eat together.
Lillian scrolled through the photos she had taken with the lead actors on her phone and asked Rosalie, “When the photos are
developed, should I get you a copy as well?”
“Sure,” Rosalie replied casually.
“Sure?” Jonathan, seated beside her, arched an eyebrow and glanced at his wife. “What’s your plan? Are you thinking of keeping
these photos nicely in an album?”
“Well, it’s a memory, isn’t it? You used to help me find autographed photos of celebrities and such.”
“Back then, I recall that celebrity had quite the acting talent, starring in several remarkable TV series. But what about these two
men? Have they acted in anything before? Do you appreciate their acting skills, or... do you just find them good-looking?”
As Jonathan spoke, his handsome face drew closer to Rosalie. His eyes were captivating, and his breath was fragrant. Rosalie
suddenly felt her heart racing as if she was getting lost in his gaze.
“C-Could he be jealous?” she wondered.
“They are newcomers, but their acting skills are decent. As for their looks, well, they’re just average...” Rosalie replied. In this
kind of situation, even if the two lead actors were exceptionally good-looking, she couldn’t admit it!
Moreover, even if they did look good, in her eyes, they didn’t quite measure up to Jonathan.
However, Lillian, who was by the other side, spilled the beans. “What do you mean by ‘just average,’ Rosalie? Weren’t you the
one who mentioned that these two actors were quite good-looking and appealed to your taste? Why are you...”
Lillian’s words trailed off as she sensed the room’s atmosphere becoming tense. She seemed to realize it and quickly fell silent.
It was often said that many pregnant people experienced brain fog, and it appeared Lillian had her share of it. Here was
Jonathan, displaying signs of jealousy, and she had just added fuel to the fire.

At that moment, all Lillian could do was send an apologetic look to Rosalie.
However, it was too late, as Jonathan’s dark eyes suddenly narrowed and fixated on Rosalie. “Good-looking? Appealing to your
taste? What? Do you like the looks of these two men?”
“No, no, it’s my taste, not Rosalie’s!” Lillian swiftly interjected when she recognized her slip of words. She understood that it was
her responsibility to correct the situation.
In that instant, Lillian decided to shoulder the blame herself.
“Oh? Do they appeal to your taste very much?” A faint voice from the side, laced with a hint of sarcasm, startled Lillian. She then
realized that Callum, seated beside her, was looking at her with a face full of jealousy!
