After a pause, Harriet continued, “And I blame myself for not finding the
truth early. As for Riley, if she had relied on me and told me the truth earlier,
then maybe I could have saved her as soon as possible. I hope that from
now on, she can trust me, and our relationship will never change!”
What she said was very touching enough to mislead others to believe that
the relationship between her and Riley was sound.
However, Zephyr was not interested in Harriet’s acting. After the
bodyguards drove the reporters away, he hurriedly got in the car with
Harriet.
As soon as they got in the car, Zephyr said expressionlessly, “I have done
what you asked. We will go to the hospital later, and you will have a check-
up and prepare to transfuse your blood to Hendrick.”
Harriet’s face changed. “Are you telling me that all you have done is for
Hendrick? Have you never cared about me?”
Zephyr said indifferently, “What are you talking about? You harmed your
sister and used your son. Do you think I should care about such a bad
woman?”
“So, you think I'm unforgivable, right?” asked Harriet.
Zephyr didn’t respond, as if he had completely ignored her. He just slowly
closed his eyes and had a rest.
Seeing this, Harriet suddenly laughed, but the laughter was harsh. “Zephyr,
you are so cruel to me and Riley. I'm afraid you've never fallen in love with
anyone in your life. You only love yourself!”
Zephyr suddenly opened his eyes and said, “You'd better not mention this
name in front of me, otherwise I will make you unable to say any word for
the rest of your life.”
Harriet’s pupils suddenly shrank.”Aren’t you afraid that I refuse to
transfuse my blood to Hendrick?”
“Since I've helped you, whether you will do that or not is not up to you.
Even if you don’t want it, I can still achieve my goal,” said Zephyr calmly.
Harriet felt a chill. She always knew how cold-blooded this man was, but

They headed to the hospital. Harriet followed Zephyr out of the car and was
forced to live in the VIP ward Zephyr prepared for her.
“You need to stay here for a few days. After the check-up, the hospital will
arrange the operation for you and Hendrick. You are free to go wherever you
want to go after that,” said Zephyr
Harriet pursed his red lips and listened quietly without raising any objection.
Then, a nurse presented some documents about the check-up and the operation
to Harriet. She signed his name on them.
Soon, Harriet followed the nurse to do the check-up, while Zephyr left.
In the car, he pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger,
looking tired. A strong sense of fatigue filled him.
If he had to apologize to someone, it must be Riley. However, to save Hendrick,
he had no choice.
Zephyr thought that Riley had failed him before. Therefore, he told himself that
there was no need to feel sorry for Riley.
After returning to the Scott residence, Zephyr's parents, Jeffery and Mariah came
over and asked, “How is it? Will Harriet transfuse her blood to Hendrick?”
“She is doing a check-up in the hospital. Even if she refuses to do it, I could
make her transfuse her blood to Hendrick,” said Zephyr.
Hearing this, Mariah finally breathed a sigh of relief, but she murmured, “She
should have provided her blood to her son unconditionally! After Hendrick gets
better, you must divorce her. Such an evil woman can't be a member of our
family!”
