The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 180
She hesitated for a moment and said, “Nothing much. When you sent me back to my room, I saw that you didn’t go back to your
room and walked toward the stairs instead. I wondered if something had happened to you. Well, if you are okay, then I will leave
now...
At that, she turned around and was about to leave.
The next moment, his arms wrapped around her from behind. “So, Rosie, are you worried about me?“
Suddenly, Rosalie felt herself surrounded by his aura. For a moment, she didn’t know how to answer him.
She thought, “Was 1 worried about him?”
Her thoughts seemed to be in a mess. She wondered inwardly. “Was it because he saved me tonight? So I didn’t think of him as
Jonathan tonight, but worried about him as Jon?”
As Rosalie pondered, she could hear his breathing become quicker in her ear. She could hear a groan from his throat, and he
gradually loosened his arms around her.
Rosalie turned around, only to see Jonathan’s pale face at that moment. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he covered
the upper part of his abdomen with one hand.
She shivered and suddenly remembered that she had seen him like this before. “Are you having a stomachache again?” “Looks
like you still remember my problem, he murmured. A smile appeared on the corner of his lips. However, his pale face and the
apparent expression in his eyes trying to suppress his pain gave his smile a hint of vulnerability.
Rosalie hurriedly held Jonathan and looked around the front hall. She noticed that there was no place for him to sit. Hence, she
walked into the room. There was a couch in the room. She helped him sit on the couch as she took a tissue from the coffee table
in front to wipe the beads of sweat on his forehead.
“Did it hurt all of a sudden?” she asked.
“It hurt a little previously. I didn’t care much about it and thought it wouldn’t hurt in a short while. But, it suddenly became worse.”
he murmured. However, I didn’t expect you to remember my problem. It seems that you care about me, right?”
Rosalie didn’t answer his question. She didn’t even know if she cared for him.

“Where’s the medicine? Do you have it with you?” she asked.
“I don’t like taking medicine very much. I should be fine after the pain is gone,” he said.
“You don’t like taking medicine? What about the medicines I bought for you last time? Didn’t you...”
“That was because you bought those medicines. How can I not take them? Thinking about it, that time, he did take the medicine
on time every day.
Rosalie was speechless. She lived in an urban village last time, and pharmacies were nearby. However, the problem at that
moment was that she couldn’t find a pharmacy at midnight, as there was no pharmacy operating 24 hours a day around the
Youngblood residence!
At that moment, the housekeepers in the mansion had already gone to bed. The rest of them that were left were probably
security guards.
“Well, is there a security guard here at night? Can any one of them drive to buy some medicine?” Rosalie asked.
“Are you going to make me take medicine again?” Jonathan asked difficultly. The pain in his stomach made him shiver, and his
body was covered with cold sweat.
“If you don’t take medicine, what if it hurts more later?” Suddenly, Rosalie thought of something and took out her phone to check
out an online pharmacy.
Although the pharmacy was a little distant from where they were, they could still get the medicine if they were willing to pay extra
charges. Besides, the delivery time was less than 20 minutes. In that case, it would be faster than asking the security guard to go
to buy the medicine and return with it.
After thinking for a while, Rosalie placed an order on her phone and bought the medicine she had bought Jonathan last time.
After placing the order successfully, her eyes fell on him again.
His body gradually curled up, and his lips closed tightly as if suppressing his groan. That made his breath sound more
depressing
His eyes were closed at that moment, and his long eyelashes fell on his lower eyelid, casting a shadow on his eyelids.

Rosalie thought, “A man who could cause such big trouble in Strico looks so fragile and helpless now.” She felt that he could only
rely on himself to stop the pain.
Somehow, Rosalie felt sorry for him. He was the last person she should feel sorry about, but she couldn’t control her distress
at that moment.
She looked around and realized the room was decorated like a memorial hall. The only difference was there were no dead
bodies inside.
There was a photo on the desk in front of her, which was the same as that hanging on the front hall wall. In front of the photo was
a tablet with the words “Lucian Youngblood.”
She thought inwardly, “Jonathan’s father is Lucian Youngblood? He looked as cool as his name sounds. He must be a
gentleman.”
There was also a photo of a woman beside the tablet. The woman in the picture was beautiful, with a graceful face and long
black hair. No words could ever describe how attractive and charming her pair of eyes were.
Rosalie only felt that the woman’s eyes in the photo were similar to Jonathan’s.
She wondered, “This woman... is his mother?”
She was confused. However, the most important thing was to find something to relieve his stomachache! Suddenly, her eyes lit
up when she saw the water dispenser in the room. So she hurried forward, poured a glass of warm water, and then walked to
Jonathan’s side. “Come, drink some water. You may feel slightly more comfortable.” His eyelashes trembled slightly as he slowly
opened his eyes and looked at her. “Do you want to relieve my pain?” Rosalie pursed her lips and didn’t say anything. She
helped him up and slowly put the glass to his lips. He slowly took sips of the water in the cup. Not long after that, he finished a
glass of warm water.
After finishing the cup of water, Jonathan slowly shut his eyes again. “But... I wish I could feel more pain.”
She looked at him confusedly and only heard him murmuring intermittently. “I’m afraid my pain is much less than your previous
pain. If I suffer more pain now, will it make you feel better? If so, will you hate me less?”
Rosalie was surprised. She didn’t expect Jonathan to say such a thing.

She thought, “He... Is he guilty of what happened to me in prison?”
At that moment, her phone rang. It was a call from the takeaway guy who sent the medicines to her.
