Big Novel

The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 318
Children... Lineage was very important, especially for a family like his.
“So what? When we started dating back then, I’ve already said that even if we’ll never have our own children, it’s all right. It is
you who I love, not the children.” She was the only thing he cared about in this world.
“But...” She was still hesitant.
She thought, “Doesn’t it really matter? How many men in this world could accept a life without any children?”
“Rosie!” He said, “For me, children are only the future heirs of the Youngblood family. I’m really not a person of love. If we really
have our own children in the future, I might love them, but if not, we can just adopt one from the orphanage or from close
relatives of the Youngblood family. It is not a problem for me. What I care about is whether you will marry me or not.”
When he was about to finish his sentence, his eyes were fixed on her. She just felt as if her whole body had been trapped by him
and couldn’t break free or escape. More importantly, she wouldn’t like to!
Yes, she loved him and didn’t want to break free or escape.
“Yes, I will.” She spat out these words out the three words.
A smile appeared on his face. Then he held her hand and kissed her fingertips, saying, “I will never let you go for the rest of my
life...”
She only felt waves of warmth pouring into her heart from her fingertips.
It was really a beautiful thing to be loved by him like this.
“So... please don’t let me go, Jon,” she said so, as she bent down, cupped his face with her hands, and kissed his lips again.
It was the kiss of their vows.
They were going to grow old together with each other!
“What? You and Jonathan are going to get married?” Lillian didn’t expect to hear such exciting news from her best friend on a
date.

“Yes.” Rosalie said with a sweet smile on her lips, “You know I don’t have many friends, so I’d like to invite you as my bridesmaid.
I wonder if you would like to.”
“Of course, I’d like to be your bridesmaid, but...” Lillian looked at Rosalie and intended to say something but stopped. After all,
Lillian thought Jonathan was a horrible person when she learned that he was probably the mastermind behind Loretta’s scandal.
In Lillian’s view, her friend Rosalie was no match for Jonathan in terms of scheming, crafts, and ruthlessness.
Lillian wondered inwardly, ‘Is it really good for Rosalie to marry Jonathan? If Jonathan got annoyed by her for something in the
marriage, then how could Rosalie manage to protect herself?
Is it only for Jonathan’s love for her? But how much does Jonathan love her?
Although Callum said that Jonathan is the inferior one, who was dominated by Rosie in their relationship.
However, I still worry about her.’
“What’s the matter? Please tell me frankly anything you want to say,” Rosalie said.
Lillian hesitated for a while before she said, “Rosie, do you really love Jonathan, even enough to get married to him?”
“I didn’t expect to get married so soon.” Rosalie smiled and said, “But it seems reasonable. I love him and he also loves me.
Since he is willing to accept all of me, everything good or bad, I think it is the best choice for me to marry him.”
“But do you know him enough?” Lillian said.
“Yes, I-sort of do,” Rosalie said. “There is nothing I don’t know about his family, career, lifestyle, and personality. Besides, I have
lived in the Youngblood residence for quite a period of time.”
“But how about his dark side?” Lillian blurted out.
Rosalie looked at her friend in surprise, and Lillian showed a trace of embarrassment as she said, “I mean, after all, he is
Jonathan, not. It’s said that he is ruthless and none of those who offended him would end up well.”
Rosalie gently lowered her eyes and then understood what Lillian meant. Just like while she was in prison, many people bullied
her because of Jonathan.

But... “Lillian, you’ll never know what it’ll be like in the future unless you take that step. I just want to take that step because I
think no one in this world will love me more than he does,” Rosalie raised her eyes and said to Lillian.
Looking at the firm eyes of her best friend, Lillian’s heart quivered, as she knew Rosalie’s strong desire for family. After all,
they were good friends for so many years.
It was human nature to long for what one lacked.
“That’s right. Sometimes, one has to take that step,” Lillian said, “but no matter what happens in the future, you should remember
that I’m always here for you because we are best friends.”
“Okay,” Rosalie replied, her simple words full of emotions.
If it weren’t for Lillian, she wouldn’t have been here today!
In her heart, Lillian was already her family, whom she would repay for the rest of her life!
A few days felt like years for Calvin.
He sent someone to the town where he met that little girl to investigate everything about Rosalie many years ago, trying to match
her with the timeline in his memory
But after all, it had been too long. It would take more effort to find it out.
Recently, the news that Loretta was caught for adultery had been on trending topics, but he didn’t care about it at all.
Loretta and those women around him were just substitutes for the girl he had been looking for, as comforting prizes for.. what he
had missed.
However, the substitutes were just substitutes, none of whom could make up for the emptiness in his heart, no matter how many
substitutes he could find.
But... only when he held her in his arms...
Calvin stared at his hands absent-mindedly. Only when he held Rosalie in his arms did his empty feeling seem to be filled up,
and he was unwilling to let go of her.

Never had he had this kind of feeling before!
So it was her and it must be her!
When she appeared in front of him in a floral dress that day, he seemed to see the little girl while he was a little child.
If it wasn’t her, then how could she give him such an illusion time and again?
This kind of illusion had never been given to him by any woman before.
At the same time, a sense of regret appeared in his heart. He shouldn’t have made concessions in front of Jonathan time and
again.
